Would you die fighting against a Communist take over?

If you lose the battle to save America.  Would you start an underground revolution to overthrow the Communist regime, knowing that if you get caught, you will be executed?

 

Even if you're an atheist, non-creative, labor worker... would you still fight against the Communist regime?

I'm going to assume you mean a totalitarian communist government similar to how Cuba is or Russia was (and is now becoming). In that case, absolutely. I would certainly fight.

I may be an atheist, but people have a right to their beliefs. It's the same reason I get pissed when people say the U.S. is a Christian nation. Freedom of speech and information is also one of the most important liberties we have in the U.S. Censoring or hiding information (like is starting to happen in Russia again) is terrible, and unacceptable because it intentionally makes the public ignorant. No government should be allowed to deprive people of the facts, even if they may hurt the reputation of that government.

The whole equality thing might be good, but if it comes at the expense of essential liberties then no thank you.

Takeover by another government is the only reason I can think of why we have more guns than cars in this country. Any nation that tried to occupy the U.S. would encounter some serious resistance.

If gun manufacturers and law makers would make more than a token effort at keeping guns out of the hands of criminals.

But they don't.

And don't want to.

Because the NRA is one of the biggest political contributors in the world.

And criminals with guns is a win win for them.

They sell guns to the criminals.

Then sell more guns to people who are now afraid of all the criminals with guns.

Yes, I know I would because the idea of submitting to Commies actually hurts me. I love liberty, i love to write stories and poetry and music. I love being opinionated and working to be the best. There would be no happiness for me under Communist rule, and i'd rather die fighting to re-create America than submit to Commies.

Irony... sounds a lot like a quote from a Confederate General (who believed in Slavery, that's the Irony, since i love Liberty DON'T CALL ME A RACIST!!!)

There are few things worth dying for, and I'm fortunate enough to live in a country that aspires to three of these,

life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.

While I don't believe there is some father figure in the sky waiting to pat me on the back if I were to die in that situation.

Living, and knowing I could have done more for the country that means so much to so many, even people I disagree with on almost everything, is not a life worth living at all.

There is not a doubt in my mind that I would fight to the death. We are free people, we are known as the land of the free and if that is taken away from Americans what would we have ? I would fight with a shank if that is what it boiled down to in the end, if it was live in a communist nation or die fighting for freedom I would choose the freedom without hesitation.

Of all the things to die for in this world, sacrificing myself in an effort to preserve liberty and save the country from a Communist takeover would be one of the best ways to go.

Say i spent night apon night working towards an A, and my proffessor turns to me and says "Good Job", now I am going to have you share your grade with the person next to you that made an F, in which brings your A down drastically!!!!!!! Would that be okay with you??? It's not okay with me. Will I fight for what is rightfully mine... you better believe I will! I will stand up and fight for what my forefathers founded and left for me, I will stand up and fight for my FREEDOM, I will stand up and fight for my unalienable Rights, I will stand up and fight for Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. Yes I will fight, and my child will stand right beside me, because I would rather us die for this country and everything it is, means, and was, than lay down for any communist or communism! I haven't lost faith in the people and younge people of America, but is has dwindled quite, don't give up on your country, they haven't given up on you!

You definetly have good points. The family thing is really important to many people. The Hamas idea is great. However, and no disrespect, but I'm pretty sure that every single man and woman in Iraq at the moment has a family, a means to leave the country, and some reason to not be fighting. But they're still over there. I would definetly die not only to prevent communism, but also to protect my country- because it wouldn't be america with a socialist government. yeah.

Where to even start...

First things first, if there was to ever be a SOCIALIST (since it is Socialism that everyone is talking about in this debate, and not Communism) take over, by the time the American people realized it, we would all be living it. Once said Socialism is in place, we won't be able to remove it, not by forming uprisings, or any idiotic idea like that.

I personally would not stand up against a Socialist formation as I would rather be able to live my life, even with restrictions, rather then be brutally tortured, and then executed on a public stand to be seen as an example to the people.

No, you wouldn't be able to say whatever you wanted, but that doesn't mean everything would be shut down or removed from your lives, it just means it would be under governmental control. As in, say whatever you like, as long as it does not suggest or imply in any way that we govern you, or that you would like to change the form of government. Not a bad idea, but definitely not the best.

-Now we're talking about Communism-

A Communist country is NOT a bad idea. A country where the government has little to no interaction with much of anything and allows everyone to share in all things equally, how can that be wrong? All people work for the same reason, to benefit their country, their people, their home, whatever you want to call it, as it should be. If you choose to live somewhere, you should be willing to die for that home, or your neighbor, or your ideals, and so on. Once you initially finish school, you would have three beneficial options to choose from, enter the work force, go to college and then enter the work force, or enter the military. Any way you choose would eventually allow you to benefit your country. And if you felt you didn't want to do any of those and wanted to be a bump on a log, you could go do it in some other country.

Health Care would be paid for by what little interaction the government has, because doctors could not start their own practice and choose to overcharge you by hundreds of dollars. All for the benefit of the peoples of this country. Sounds horrible, doesn't it?

No one is asking you to change your ideals. They're just asking you to set them aside for the personal gain of your country and your brethren. Let the United States become a world wide super power again once communism straightens the country out. The rate of decline in the united states sees us heading rapidly towards being a 3rd world country, maybe not as bad as many of the others, but certainly much worse then we once were.

I do not want our country to become a Socialist country, nor do I want it to be a Communist country, that's not what I am saying. I do feel it would be beneficial in equality with Communism though, and I do feel it would bring the United States back up on the pedestal we originally created for ourselves.

Personally, I like the ability to step on the fingers and toes of my peers and become rich from other peoples ideas and faults. It's not hard to make a living in the United States and become part of that Upper Class that everyone dreams of living, you just have to have the intelligence for it, oh, and you can't have a soul either.

Completely joking on that last note about the soul... But to be 'fair' to everyone, communism would be more beneficial then allowing everyone to strive towards goals that very few people ever reach. If you take away that ability to strive towards unattainable goals, you correct the problem, and people will eventually get use to it. Generations of being born into Communism will grow up learning to live not for yourself but for everyone else and will have no reason to hate it like the original generations that have to deal with the transition will feel in the beginning. Once the idea of equality for all has truly taken root, people will agree that it is best for everyone.

And as for the Socialist idea, it would be beneficial too, or a strict Dictatorship... but Communism is definitely the way to go.

Tykk communist nations are terrible ... the people that mite stand for it are the people that are in lower class. I myself am in lower class and I can say rite now that rocket scientists, lawyers, professional sports players, brokers they would not like making as much money as me in a restaurant that I guarantee.
