Would you kill yourself knowing you could save 4,000+ people doing so?
You've been diagnosed with a disease that is unheard of from the doctors that cannot be treated, either you kill yourself and save everyone within your living vicinity or you let yourself live not caring about anyone else.

If it was either myself, or someone else, then yes i'm man enough to say of course i'd rather them than me. However, over 4,000 people?? Yes i would kill myself. If i think of me being killed because of some selfish bastard, X4,000 then yes i most certainly would. Side: You will

Well, I wouldn't kill myself as in go jump off a building. But I would willingly let them put me in some kind of containment bubble to prevent it from spreading. If this disease is so deadly, and I'm going to die anyways, they may as well learn whatever they can about it from me in the hopes that they could find a cure for it in case it shows up anywhere else in the world or by accident gets let out. If the police arrested you today and out you into an isolation chamber because they claim you are a bio terrorist working for the Middle East. Etc etc and then ultimately kill you and incinerate your body. I.m pretty sure you wouldn't voluntary let them do all of that Side: You won't

Why the hell should I? I don't believe in any supreme arbiter, I don't believe my actions or inactions have any consequences that affect the universe significantly, and I don't believe in any intrinsic right or wrong. Hell, how do I even know these 4000 people exist? Cogito ergo sum and all (I don't actually preach solipsism, but I do somewhat believe a very lenient form). Until someone can produce a rational argument beyond appeals to emotion, I see no reason to end my own happy life for the sake of 4000 people I don't give a shit about. Side: You won't

Because those 4000 people could make a much larger difference than if they just died and you live, how do you know most of them wont go on to alter history in remarkable ways that will change the course of humanity forever? Taking out 4000 people from the picture leaves alot of things that could have happened, that didnt. Whether these are good or bad, we dont know, but 4000 choices is a lot more of a difference than your 1 choices throughout life. Butterfly effect dude, chaos theory. Side: You will

I don't make life or death decisions based on wild speculation. Sure, they could all cure cancer, or create world peace. Equally, they could also all be murderers, rapists and pedophiles. When it's my life being used as a sacrifice, I need to know absolutely everything about these people. And unless there's something really damn special about them, my life is my priority. Since we are speaking in fiction, I will use basic logic. a.) These 4000+ people would mean I would probably only be saving a small county if we around 4000 or so. Quantity is really irrelevant if you don't know the exact amount. b.) What about non-believers? I am pretty sure they don't care because they most likely get no consquences of it. c.) Are these 4000 people terrorist? If they are then HELL NO! d.) Are these 4000 people tax paying people who have families? If so how did I even get this disease? If I get a disease (fictional) that is capable to kill mass amount of people, I would imagine getting this disease at Chyernobl or Democratic Republic of Congo. OVERALL: Please give more information!!!!!!!!!!! Side: You won't
Why should I? How is it guaranteed that my disease cannot be cured? Even if it can't, what proof is there that I could save 4000+ people's lives? I do not even know which 4000+ people these are, so how would I know whether these people even deserve to die or not? I feel that killing myself for 4000+ useless people who actually do the exact opposite of 'contribute to the community', is totally a waste. It would be better to just die of the disease itself or hope to get cured. Side: You won't
