Would you let a website recommend who you should vote for?

Let them tell you who to vote for

ABC has a test at the link below to see who's campaign statements, McCain's or Obama's, you agree with most. They don't tell you who made the statements, of course, but a statement made by each candidate on the same topic (economy, immigration, judiciary, etc.) will be side by side.

You just pick which statement you agree with and, after selecting all 13, you'll find out which candidate's philosophy you support.

Sure, just I would take it with a grain of salt. But then again, just because you recommend something doesn't mean I have to take your advice.

Exactly. It's just another tool to give you some information about how closely your views align with the candidate's, not telling you who to vote for.

Side: take with a grain of salt

Of course I wouldn't allow a website to recommend a candidate for whom to vote but I think that in this case, if the quotes are accurate, it's not a bad way to go as a tool. I for one cannot remember everything either ever said about a subject or issue and this is a great reminder. By the way, I came out with 11 for Obama and only 2 for McCain! I await the debates...

Side: Good tool if accurate

well, i got Obama 2 and McCain 11. although, there were some that i agreed on both, and others where i disagreed on both... so i just eney miney moed it.

as for Anon taking over... they would just newfag it up. anon=gaiafag.

i don't give a DAMN what websites have to say about what i should agree. i am my own being and i don't need someone or something to control me.

Side: i can think for myself thanks

I'm afraid to go to this site because it may tell me that I subconsciously favor one candidate over another and that I have to vote.

What's happened to your little balleens Joe? I'd love to think of you as changing your mind and still rattling the CD cages by doing so!

Side: i can think for myself thanks

As Ronald Reagan used to say, "Well...," I have no idea what balleens are but now I'm forced to chose what's more important, Terrorist (without the 's' at the end so that Jessald has an embulism) or my home and 401K plan. So far my home and 401K plan hits closer to home to I'm gonna have to vote for (dare I type it?) Obama (OMG, I didn't spontaneously combust! Cool! ;).

I think for someone who hasn't followed the election closely this might be a good tool to get a starting idea of who they should look more closely into. Since I've pretty much already decided on who I'm going to vote for the site didn't help much, but it did come up with the result I expected. So for the most part I'd say I wouldn't vote for the person the site told me to, but it does seem to indicate whose views you agree with more.

NO!

Could you imagine Anon getting their hands on the site "for the lulz"? We would always elect over 9000 penises to run the country for at least over 100 years!

The internet is not secure, and no matter how you look at it, if you can access the site at all, it is not secure enough to elect a president with.
