Would you sacrifice someone if you knew God was ordering you to do it?

God asked Abraham to sacrifice his son and he almost did it before he was stopped.  What about you?  What if you were completely convinced God had ordered you to sacrifice someone.  Would you do it?

Yes, it's God's command

no where in the Christian New Testament is a "command" to hurt anyone ... quite the opposite ....

however the god of Islam commands it every day .... and the committed are obedient ... http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/index.html#Attacks

Great. But then why don't I feel love when I talk to the Christians on this site? They all seem to act like early Old Testament stuff.

Just because someone claims to be a Christian doesn't mean they are. It is by your words and deeds that you are called the children of God.

You don't feel love because you hate the truth and it seems unloving to you when somebody tells you the truth. I love you man, even though you are an idiotic proud and brave fool.

WOW..... are you wrong

Matthew 13:41 The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;

13:42 And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

Just one example...I can find many more

What you are reading isn't a commandment to us Christians. It is talking about the end of days. But feel free to find more and we can help you understand. Matthew 13:40 "As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world?" Please I encourage you to find many more.

Since you apparently don't much care for trying to read the Bible or understand God, let me give you a little Bible lesson.

God had promised Abraham that His promises for Abraham would be fulfilled through Isaac. As Abraham was going with Isaac to the place of sacrifice, Isaac asked where the sacrificial lamb was. Abraham replied, "God will provide himself a lamb". The wording of this statement is important, and is perverted in meaning in modern versions. The correct translation in English is that God will provide himself a lamb, a direct reference to the coming Messiah, the Lamb of God, Jesus.

Hebrews 11: 17-19 ....By faith Abraham, when he was tried, offered up Isaac: and he that had received the promises offered up his only begotten son, Of whom it was said, That in Isaac shall thy seed be called: Accounting that God was able to raise him up, even from the dead; from whence also he received him in a figure.

God had a special purpose in commanding Abraham to offer Isaac up as a sacrifice, and Abraham's faith was counted as righteousness by God. Abraham believed, trusted, and obeyed God so it was imputed to him for righteousness...the righteousness of God which is by faith to all who believe.....and if you really trust God and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who Isaac pictured here, you will know the power of His resurrection and it will change your life forever, giving you new desires to do right and new disdain against the things you do that are unrighteous...like in the case of many people here, they would stop being foul mouth perverts of all sorts.

God is not commanding anybody to sacrifice anybody today. One time He used Abraham and Isaac for an example of Himself, and then He Himself did what He had asked Abraham to do, and raised Jesus Christ from the dead through whom we may obtain the promises of God and the Muslims will end up burning in Hell the same as Atheists and Hindus if they won't believe God loves them so much He became a man to die for them so they can be considered paid for and pardoned from Hell.

Amen and Amen. That 's good preaching. Amen.

If you don't do what God is ordering you to do, you are probably going to be punished for being disobedient.

To say yes to this scenario is to lump yourself in with Muslim suicide bombers, mothers who drown their infants, mass shooters, etc.

Side: No, what if I'm wrong

Anyone who responds yes to this proves the point religion is merely a tool to manipulate and justify peoples actions for the supposedly greater good of there faith!

there is no god to request this action! so any request will be from another human or an insane human with voices in his or hers head!!!

There lacks any diety to represent this behaviour, so any appeal will be from another human or an insane human with visions in his or her dreams.

No, I'd tell the big shy, silent man to take time off from zooming around the cosmos and do his own dirty work. It would be important to be conscious of the fact that if you talk to God you're praying. But, if he talks back you are a schizophrenic. A lot of murderers use the old, ''instructions from this mythical god'' as an excuse for their vile deeds.

I'd tell the large introverted, soft-spoken men to remove minutes away from crashing around the cosmos and do his own field work.

Why would God ask me to do something that He:

1. Has forbiden me to do (i.e., kill)?

2. Can do on his own (i.e., He has done it in the past)?

Besides, last time I checked, God and I were not on speaking terms. He's more of the strong, silent, type.

He seems to be silent to you because you have stuck your fingers in your ears to shut Him out and you won't be quiet so you block out His calling for you to return to Him and be saved from Hell. And you look very pretty in your picture.

Actually, He seems silent because I am hearing I pared. Maybe if He fixed my hearing...

You don't want Him to do that because you don't want Him to rule over you, you don't want to take sides with Him against your sin. You want to be the same old punk you have been, loving your sin more than life and propelling yourself into the fire of Hell like a moth into the flames.
