Yolo: Take less Risks Or Take more risks?
Yolo, is a saying used by the modern youth meaning you only live once, originally as an excuse to do something risky, and most likely stupid.
The question here is, should the knowledge of the fact that you truly only live once, be an encouragement to do stupider things with this one life of yours, or should it actually be used to warn you that with this one life of yours you should take care of it?

Well, there is certainly a lot more to it than this, but... If we to look at the leading causes of death in the US from 2011 We can see that such things as cancer, stroke, and respiratory disease significantly outweigh accidental death (inc. automobile accidents). As such, dying from a yolo-inspired accident is likely to involve significantly less suffering prior to death than the things most likely to kill you otherwise. There are huge problems with this, as death isn't the only possible result of a yolo accident- becoming quadriplegic comes to mind, for one. And it also doesn't touch on the fact that a teenager or twenty something dying from a stroke or cancer is pretty rare, either, so ignores the value of up to (and possibly beyond) 90 additional years of life between yolo death and natural death. Still, I'd say take more risks; I think the idea of yolo is that everybody dies anyway- someone who avoids risk at all costs misses out on a lot of the more enjoyable parts of life, and still ends up dead anyway. I don't agree with many of the risks taken in the name of 'yolo,' but there is certainly some merit in taking a little more risk, for most of us. Side: Take more risks
