Because you can't polish a turd.

No one wakes up in the morning and says: "Today, I am going to be dumb"

Today I'm going to be an asshole.

Today I'm going to be that socially awkward guy that chews his nails.

Today I'm going to be that douchebag with the upside-down sun visor.

Everyone is exactly where they are because that's where their journey (their experiences) have led them.

Neither can one snap their fingers and say "I'm going to quit being an asshole."

We can all aspire to be better. We can educate ourselves. We can make better decisions.

In the meantime, everyone grows at different rates and everyone deserves a certain amount of compassion.

I'm big enough to admit that I've been wrong about plenty of things in my life.

And ten years from now, I'll probably look back and see that I'm wrong about plenty of things now. I don't claim to be perfect. And if someone needs to see me as dumb, then I hope it helps them to feel better about their own situation.

It's really funny to pretend being dumb, and see everyone who're just facepalming you. But actually, you're making an even bigger facepalm yourself at them - because seriously. There is a limit of how dumb a person can be.

Internet anonymity, in my opinion, is free license to be a total jerk.
