Evidence that atheists have faith (FAITH: Antonyms: disbelief, distrust, doubt, misgiving, skepticism, suspicion)
http://thesaurus.com/browse/faith
If an atheist didn't have faith then they would be skeptical/suspicious of their own disbelief in God. An atheist however isn't skeptical of this view, thus having faith in their own views.
Synonyms: acceptance, allegiance, assent, assurance, belief, certainty, certitude, confidence, constancy, conviction, credence, credit, credulity, dependence, faithfulness, fealty, fidelity, hope, loyalty, reliance, stock, store, sureness, surety, troth, truth, truthfulness

I've been saying this for years. But faith is the five-letter-word when it comes to atheism, I've found. They don't seem to get I'm not implying they have faith in a god or deity of any kind, but simply that they believe that their own views are correct and not a fabrication. Side: Atheist Have Faith

I've always believed they believe something. They keep saying they have no belief at all, but don't most of them believe in the big bang theory? Which is an unproved theory, so in order to think it being true and consider it a fact you have to believe it first. Side: Atheist Have Faith

If you define faith to the extent that it merely means acceptance of a view, then whatever. But the meaning of faith in a religious discussion seems clear most of the time to me and those participating in the debate with me. Only on here do I really witness such focus on trying to define faith into the athiest position. Side: Still going to Lie

My point is that every word used by a atheists is supposed to be religious and every word in the English language is to be ignored if the meaning doesn't fit an atheists views. http://www.createdebate.com/debate/show/ Side: Atheist Have Faith

I'm not sure why you would degrade the significance of "faith" by lowering its common meaning in the context of a religious discussion by equating it with trust or simple acceptance. And definition fishing is kind of like quote mining when the offending party pretends any progress is achieved by it. Side: Still going to Lie
