Assumption: I assume you want me to take the side of Christianity and support and defend it as a religion. First you must know the following: 1. I am Catholic, but I do not believe in many of the teachings/edicts of the Catholic religion. 2. I am not a hater of any religion. 3. I am a protector of what is good, not what is bad or what is the moral high road. 4. I believe in abortion under several scenarios 5. I believe in God (or at least what I term God). I often ponder if we really are all focusing our attention of the same thought process (I will get to that later). 6. I believe that everyone should be a good person. That means being relatively moral and ethical. I do not believe these are mutually exclusive to Catholics or Christians, but rather all who follow a religion, and more importantly all Atheists. Nobody said Atheists couldn't be moral and ethical. So, I believe Christianity is an adequate belief system designed in ancient times to govern people into thinking about their moral and ethical behavior. I think it was brought together from separate sources into what is currently the belief in a monotheistic religion. The key to the religion is that it has a series of milestones which were created to deepen the individuals participation and commitment to the faith. It also requires continual pray and reconciliation. I find the concept of reconciliation not as a soul saving act, but a conscience opening review of how the individual. More to come in the next post... Side: christians
