Obviously you text her and tell her she left a pair of panties at your house. Then as she frantically tries to find out more info, you never return calls or texts, don't answer the door, and then one day you buy some panties, and when she comes by, you open the blinds just enough, wave the panties, and force her to break in through your bedroom window where you are waiting for her...dressed in your sexiest clown outfit...with no pants...and no clown outfit..

If your main strategy to get someone back involves texting then you don't deserve to get them back.

I suppose if you want to get them back just long enough for one booty call then it might work to text them that you came into a bunch of money somehow. You just need to keep the charade of money up long enough to get lucky. Sooner or later though they're going to find out.

And if the ex is willing to rekindle for long term simply because you texted them then either they're idiots or they already kind of wanted to get back with you anyway.

I can't imagine texting someone to get back together.

I use texting infrequently as a convenience but usually to arrange a phone call because I know I can communicate 100 times more information and be sure I've been clearly understood in a 2 minute phone call than I can in an hour of texting. In my book texting is for leaving a quick note, not for having a conversation.

The other thing is that I'm not much for drama and the idea of ever becoming a pest in anyone's eyes repulses me. If they want to go I'm never going to chase them. I just got divorced earlier this year. I'm pretty sure my X didn't think I was serious and thought I'd end up begging her to say. She was wrong. Sure is nice to have the house all to myself.
