It sure seems that way when applied to races, sexual orientations, ethnic groups, religious affiliations, and genders.

I mean, when watching the stereotype (funny race video jokes) online they are almost always valid. But there's always a percentage of people in every race that prove they are nothing like what society makes them out to be.

The problem with stereotypes is that they do not apply to everyone.

Generalizations are destructive ammunition for bigots so we need to keep a wise perspective and show tolerance for our differences.
