The answer would be entirely subjective. Both dogs and cats have evolved with certain advantages and disadvantages. Neither is "better" than the other. In order to say that one is superior you would have to define by what metric. I have both a dog and a cat, my dog sometimes bullies the cat by trying to provoke her and chasing her around the house. The dog is clearly on the offensive and would probably beat the cat in a fight if he really wanted to, but at the same time he could never catch birds and squirrels the way my cat does, because he can't climb or be as silent and stealthy.
