how do you feel about the Arizona Immigration law

It's blatant racism, and quite unconstitutional. It panders to the dumbest of the American population, which apparently is concentrated in Arizon (I always thought it would be W. Virginia, who knew?)

If it does what defenders claim, there is no reason for it because there are already laws on the books. So one can only assume it is a law to encourage jailing people who look Mexican. Indeed it's already happened citizens have been thrown in jail, you can google it I don't have time.

are you serious? if its unconditional then out government is too (which it is). the law Arizona past is what the federal government already past and puts into effect.

so why did Arizona pass it then if the central gov already had it in effect? because (to no surprise) the gov failed in protecting the border against out side filth and illegals ( note that i said and illegals meaning i do not consider illegals filth but the drug peddlers and etc.).

Really? The federal government has laws to throw people in jail for not carrying around proof of a birth certificate? That's amazing. Did you hear that on Newsmax or Faux?

Arizona Immigration law good. Illegal immigration bad. ;)

It's heart is in the right place, but it's a little harsh. I don't really have a solution for illegal immigration (other than a costly megafence on the border lol), but I agree with the law's stance against illegal immigration.

we don't need expensive solutions. look at Israel and Saudi Arabia. they put fences up (Israel for Palestine and Arabia for Sudan) and they work great. in fact Arabia plans o put one on the border of Kuwait to further decrease terrorist and illegal immigration. all we need to do is put a fence up like Israel's and were good, but we still have not done that.

... so you want to use the middle east as an example of how to handle citizens and neighbors...

I'm rather indifferent. Checking the immigration status of someone who just got arrested sounds like a pretty good idea... arresting people just so you can check their immigration status not so much. I'd prefer more open boarders and the elimination of the minimum wage to combat illegal immigration.

As for Arizona, they gave Congress the opportunity to fix the immigration laws and the feds the opportunity to increase border security. Neither happened so they stepped in and put forth their own law.

Those on the left don't like it? Too fucking bad, you failed and the consequence is the new law is something that you don't like. After hearing the bitching and whining from the left about how Bush did nothing about health care and therefore it is okay for Obama to ignore conservatives when it comes to reform I have no sympathy for those are pissed about this law. They can whine all they want, but Arizona supports this law just like the rest of this country, so it doesn't look like it will being going away.

While I don't agree with the breaking of our laws when people enter this country illegally, I'm very uncomfortable with a government agency being able to ask you for papers just because you don't look right. It's bad stuff.

Im mexican and proud of it, the law is just idiodic, whats wrong with immigrants coming to america and want a better life for them and their love ones.

Side: unconstitutional

The Obama Administration does not favor racial profiling and a major part of this Arizona law centered on racial profiling.
