It can save trees and thus is environmental friendly. iBooks can help to "recycle" the textbooks and students will never need to carry a bag pack full of bags in future!

I see nothing wrong when this device or other technology has been using in some school for educational purposes, its just that every students must only have limited access on the internet or any other site including but not limited to school recommendation. BUT, I can't see that this one is fair enough to other student, what about those who can't afford to have one? As an ipad and kindle cases designer, I guess this proposal must be on proper debate like in senate so they can review.

Well in my state these 6-700$ pieces of technology are given to f*ing kindergarteners to color on!! Its an enormous waste of money! Not to mention those schools also have smart boards and air conditioning! My highschool still has chalkboards!! WTF?! I say if theyre going to be stupidly wasted then no.
