I'd make sure everything that my people would use would be built and assembled directly in my country. If possible, I'd want the resources to be harvested there too. Basically, I'd want a very, very strong industrial base. Likely, I'd try to keep my country's exports way above its imports, because importing too much is usually a bad sign. The only reason I'd do this is because if a country has to be self-sufficient, there probably won't be a problem with jobs for awhile. I'd also make sure that my country stayed out of as many conflicts as possible. That way, we're not spending money on unnecessary expenses. |
