in an undisclosed situation, do you say yes or no- and why?

Yes or no. You do not know what will happen if you agree, or disagree. There is no right answer, no wrong answer. Instinctively, do you feel compelled to enter a situation unaware of its details?

My first instinct is to decline. Even if I later learn that 'yes' would have had a fortuitous outcome, saying no is probably has the best chance of preventing the effect of unknown factors in my life. Right now, I have most things more or less the way I like them; they could be better, but they could also be considerably worse so I would rather keep them the same, than take a blind risk that could result in a change in either direction.

Although I disagree with your mentality to maintain status quo- I feel that life is measured in improvement rather than stability- I suppose that, statistically, it is very easy for an opportunity to be harmful. I by no means have a perfect life, perfect health, perfect mentality, perfect cognitive capacity, or perfect economic status, but I am content with my life at the moment and would not gamble it away. In the course of a lifetime I may follow situations that I am not entirely familiar with, but with absolutely no point of reference caution would appear to be the wisest decision.
