I think you are dead on about the "Presupposed debates" they get nowhere, and in the end everyone keeps insulting eachother.

Personally i don't think we should try to even debate God's existence, because choosing whether you believe or not is a personal matter, and we should respect eachother's right to make up their own mind.

I can so do this! Here:

God does not exist because children are starving in Africa. --> Typical argument by atheists

Side: YES !

What is your reason of your reason ??

How do you know that your reason is pure and epistemological accurate?

Side: YES !

This is the perfect guideline, however, it seems that both sides will have difficulty proving their reasons.

I've made this debate 2 or 3 times now, it doesn't work. While they are fun to take part in, no actual progress is made.

I've also done this.

Theists generally make a weak appeal as to why god doesn't exist, then go on to mock atheists as much as they can.

They seem generally unable to grasp the concept of a god just not existing and the supernatural to be not real.

They just don't have the brain power. This debate will fail. Watch.

I take offense at that statement.

I can so grasp the concept of God not existing. Sure, I very much believe He does exist, but that doesn't mean I'm not open to the fact that He might not. :P Granted that's a very narrow possibility, but it's a possibility nonetheless.

No, it is the truth, isn't it?

You can't prove that your god is real.

The bible is real, but god? No. He's not.

Look, if I can't say "God, speak to prove yourself!"

Then what can I do? You're clearly brainwashed. I know what it's like though.

It is a nice feeling, because you can feel safe. There is heaven waiting, right?

Not really though. wake up please.

The difference is that I can back my claims.

If I was spouting bullshit nonsense and someone said "prove it" and I said YOU CAN'T PROVE ME WRONNNGGG HEHEHEHEHEH.

You'd mock me for being a dumbass.
