I would say so... Though I do not condemn media. But, the fact is that Journalism as of a whole has been contaminated by mass communication. There is so much of dependence today. Media is just losing the track and it's motive.

How can the ability of mass/instant communication with all corners of the globe be considered a contamination of truthful reporting. Wouldn't this result in the exact opposite of biased news coverage, you (governments) can no longer spin/create the news. Facts will be captured and reported as they happen.

A small caveat to this statement, governments still warp the news in many countries where they have complete control over the technology that distributes the information but the reporting in general from truly independent observers is changing the old concept of propaganda. Yes the U.S. may have a liberal bias as far as the ancient broadcast companies are concerned but that would indicate that the majority of the populace holds those same beliefs.

True knowledge can never be distorted only an individual can warp it to fit their singular view of reality!

Okay... I dunno if my statement was misunderstood. But, I was referring to pure Journalism contaminated due to the sensationalism. Mass media is a different field that includes with it, news as well as other mediums of communication that may or may not include news. The inclusion of these has led to a loss of seriousness.

If you were talking of the government dependence that I spoke of. I do not mean complete off control. But, there lies a difference between independence and freedom. Restrictions must be retained, But, at certain points, the media is overtly dependent on the government, sometimes private sectors for finances.

The old concept of propaganda has changed. That is the problem. There is no ethics at all!

To fit a singular view is only after a fact is presented. Not prior to that. The faxt have to be true!

The Media is doing all right. The Media is not perfect but the Media does do its job of informing people of the latest news events around the world.
