The problem is that the viewing of porn has the potential to evolve negatively, depending on how it is used. If it is used repetitively or addictively, or to replace a healthy sexual relationship, then it crosses the line. Some women complain their men are secretive and sneaky, preferring watching porn to being with them. Pornography actually has many benefits.A great source of pleasure to those who don't have a chance with hot, attractive women. It also serves as sensual or erotic entertainment for couples.In a relationship, its a fantastic instrument of sexual ventilation for people when they are high on sex drive and their partner's aren't ready for it all the time . Porn is legal and performed by consenting adults. There is no trafficking in American mainstream porn. Women have the freedom to choose their scenes, charge accordingly, select co-stars, have sex and at the end of the day get paid handsomely for it(eg.Sunny Leone never did too much hardcore yet she's 1 of the biggest names in the industry).They can leave porn whenever they want. I don't think it is wrong for a single person or a consenting couple to watch some porn. It is after-all a form of entertainment. However, it can cause problems for people who become addicted to it. I have heard of cases of erectile dysfunction in teenagers from over-use of porn. The brain becomes geared for porn and normal sex seems abnormal causing issues. Side: good and bad

there are many instances of nudity and sex in all kinds of films and in many magazines and books. Some deal substantially with sex and are intended for educational purposes and are explicit. Who's to say that there is a difference between these examples and more overt examples like playboy or penthouse. If media is showing perverted forms of sex, promoting infidelity and immorality then its wrong. does'nt matter if its porn or not porn. If the actors are being exploited as a result of poverty or drugs, which is often the case, then its wrong. Lastly, masturbating to any thoughts of real people or any photos of nudes is also wrong. Porn creates an image of what sex is supposed to be and what "role" women have to play. It is sexist much like other entertainment, so it is not alone, but pornography is the biggest industry. Bigger than movies, magazines, etc. So it has the biggest audience and therefor greatest influence. In a relationship it will make your partner seem less attractive, this has been proved through psychology. Women with huge breasts completely submissive to the man, this is unreal and creating the wrong message for youth watching this and a wrong model for couples to follow. I know there are other types of porn that don't exactly create this image but they do promote physical attraction over personality and feeling, much like the media. So, do you support anorexia? Bulimia? or any other disorder fueled by the media? The media and porn promote the same images and the results aren't good in anyway. Yes, you may get visual pleasure, but you can do with out porn. There are two reasons I find your claim invalid. The first is this idea that it's a sexist industry. Pornography doesn't just exist for men. It exists for women, for homosexuals and for lesbians. Porn where women dominate also exist to satisfy other men. So, not all porn views women as objects. The final line where you say sex is about love. I don't think that's necessarily true. Sex can be for a lot of reasons. To have children, to have fun or to satisfy your libido are all valid reasons to want to have sex. As long as the sex is consensual and both parties understand it's not about this innate need to love one another, sex doesn't have to be about love and I would argue shouldn't have to be love either. I think porn is bad for the reason of young children can watch as well, all it takes is a computer. I also see it as bad for people who have addicted personalities. Those people could one day watch porn the next day rape some girl, because they cant get sex and all they do is watch porn. Forget all the nonsense about porn being "immoral" or "objectifying women", the real issue is we have young men who not only watch porn at every available moment, but also require more and more highly fetishized porn in order to 'get off'. The result is these young men become desensitized to visual stimulation and become impotent, except when watching porn. The problems that follow from this are obvious. I suppose other arguments could be valid but not if it has to do with reciting the bible. How can anybody be close minded about any of what he just said? I am 100% that is a just a highly defensive thing to say in the wrongest context. A different viewpoint (Atheism) is of course close-minded So could any religious viewpoint be. That doesn't make them a close-minded person about things such as pornography or anything else because at least they don't hate on opposing views until someone says something.(Like the fact you just made a very broad, hateful, spiteful, engaging opinion about atheists). Your assumption that pornography itself requires an addiction is false. May I also point that if you are going to attempt to make an intelligent debate you might want to consider spelling "its" as "it is" which would be as follows: It's. As well as "pschologically" as "psychologically" . How can you debate on the merits of psychology when you cannot even spell its wording correctly. Any kind of Addiction may be harmful. The question is whether it is harmful to the individual, the group, or both. Does this addiction harm society? and how? Does it harm the individual, and how? As far as a sin spiritually, where does it state that the viewing of pornography is harmful and in what religion? Are you speaking onto religious spirituality or onto the being spiritual toward the human mind, soul, etc.? If are are speaking onto the terms of spirituality of the person then you may not understand the merits to that person. Perhaps watching pornography gives them a sense of adventure and they use it in the bedroom. Perhaps it's the best way for that individual to release stress, which would be good psychologically. The question isn't whether Pornography is good or Bad, but whether it is needed for human society. I would say that it is very much needed. Not only as a form of entertainment, but also as another way to bring about creativity and excitement into ones world. Porn like anything else only becomes an addiction only when you are being enslaved to a habit or practice or to something that is psychologically or physically habit. I completely agree with this. Lots of things are addictive. If you drink coffee everyday, you're probably physically addicted to caffeine, yet it's not a horrible addiction. You function better in society because of your use of caffeine, you're more alert and you can better perform task like your job. If you eat chips, you can addicted to the salt and the oil. A lot of people don't though because it's possible to do things in moderation. Side: Good
