should co-cirricular activities be also given importance as much as academics in schools
Generally parents and teachers want to focus on studies more than on co-cirricular activities. if a student scores 80% but dont have any other talent , he is still applauded. but if a student is national player but is not good in studies he is never applauded ,instead of motivation he is told, cricket will take you nowhere ,everybody cant become Sachin Tendulkar. even though every 90% scorer student cant be Einstein they will applaud him will give a future einstein tag , they will try their level best to boost up their moral.
Not every parents and teachers are same . but majority have this mentality.
