We agree because our god has made all of us equally.if we will wear same clothes no one will make difference.if someone cant afford expensive clothes he will feel bad about it.
If students will wear branded clothes everyone will feel divided and their confidence will vanish whereas if everyone will wear uniforms then they all will be united. A united team is more successful team than a divided team.
The funny thing with the pro-uniform side of the argument is they're usually all for it as long as it's the type of uniform they had in mind. But if I agree and then say all the girls should dress as French maids and all the boys should dress as Angus Young from ACDC then suddenly they'll be against uniforms.
And besides, if you're teaching your kids at home not to get worked up by peer pressure then it doesn't really matter who wears what to go to school.
Hello! We are from the affirmative team and we agree that students should wear school uniforms because it prevents bullying. This is so because someone can not bully you about the uniform you have worn as that person will be dressed exactly the same.
Students do not get discouraged by wearing their school uniforms because wearing school uniforms increases school spirit. The students feel proud of their uniform as they are representing their school. If this feeling is created among all the students then they wont bully each other as they all are in the same team.
I agree because in uniforms there is a sign of the school and we can enter when we come to school if we will not wear the uniform anyone can enter the school and take the school things
.if we will not wear uniforms how the school people will recognize us that we are not of the school if we do not wear uniforms we will get bullied or some people tease us .from wearing uniforms we all look similar there will be no show off person every one will look like one no one will look diff rent
if we would not wear same clothes people would make laugh of some one that your clothes are old, dirty and old fashion they would show of and even bully.so thats why we are at the side of students should wear school uniform.
I totally disagree that uniforms are more expensive than branded clothes because branded
clothes are popular and thus more expensive. Fashionable clothes are more expensive than uniforms because more people want to buy them. The more customers, higher the price. Where as uniforms are simple. Thus, they are cheaper.
like in saudi arabia people wear same clothes, nobody is showing off and nobody is saying that i am wearing expensive clothes we should not show off everybody is happy with their clothes.
I think yes there could be bullying in this way if someone wears good clothes e.g ahmed wears good clothes and rahim wears normal clothes so ahmed will say i have good clothes and you don't have in this way it will be bullying
Uniforms increase student safety because in field trips the teacher will be able to identify their students, who will be wearing a uniform, and will also be able to identify the intruder who will not be wearing a uniform, whereas if they are wearing branded clothes the teacher wont be able to spot the intruder and will think they are some kind of crowd.
The uniforms are manner of respect by wearing uniforms we represent our school by wearing home clothes we do not represent our school uniforms wearing students are been judged by there character and home clothes wearing are judged by there clothes. you uniforms are our identity.
We are well dressed because it's pant or shirt nothing like fancy clothes which are bad for school because some student can wear clothes which are not for small children (aitesam and abdullah)
Though they integrity and uniqueness of a child. We have to concentrate on further more perspective.. Besides for token of discipline. The far more perspective is the child who's family is in poverty get isolated. It cannot expressed in a decoupled nation. But country like India... Uniforms plays indispensable role..
The boys should be able to wear what they want. The sexier girls should have to wear nice, short skirts. And beer. Yes. Lots and lots of beer... and some dancy girls.
Hello! we are from the affirmative side our argument is that should students have to wear school uniforms? We think that students should wear school uniforms because Some can afford good clothes and some cannot so when the other children will see the children who are wearing good clothes they will feel bad and will be jealous so their will be more fights.
We should wear school uniforms as there will be no bullying and as the moment each child enters the school all are equal and there will be no difference between anyone. (Duaa.F)
You are wrong again as uniforms are so expensive that some students who want to go to school can't go because of the high rates of uniforms which is unfair for students who want to study!
Just imagine that walking into a school where everyone around you are in uniform.First of all having to wear school uniform doesn't allow splitting of friends and individuality. It makes the equality between student and classmate
Students need to excel in who they are, in every way possible. If they don't have room to grow in themselves with, how can they excel in their own life when they grew up in confinement and thralldom.
We think students should not wear uniforms because they make students think they are more mature for their age which is wrong because it makes them overconfident and make them think they can achieve well but eventually because of the over-confidence they don't succeed.
Uniforms don't prevent bullying but discourage the students as their freedom is taken away because of the restrictions of the school so they don't speak up for themselves and the bullying doesn't end because the students don't stand up for themselves.
We think you are wrong because with the uniforms the parents have to buy regular clothes for when they are not at school ,thus creating an additional expanse and all of the earnings of parents are used up in buying the clothes, which is a wastage of money.
Every student has a right to express themselves and if they feel like expressing themselves through fashion and attitude, let them because you can't force them to wear something they don't want to wear, you can't take away their voice of utterance before they have one to support themselves with.
School uniforms are really expensive so we can wear home clothes as their sizes are quite easy to find and sometimes you cannot find proper sizes for yourself. (Eman.H)
We should not wear school uniforms as when we wear uniforms our freedom is taken away from our hands. School uniforms take away the freedom of our expressions. This is unfair with us. (Duaa.F)
For some students it is hard to buy school clothes they don't have enough money so they have their clothes which are old so if they buy cheap things they will get more poor and one day they will on roads. it is good that they wear home clothes
Wearing uniform is an awful thing for most students. I think that students shouldn't have to wear uniforms in school because it doesn't allow individuality.
if students wear uniform they will feel sad and they will not care for it and if they wear home clothes they will feel happy and then care for there clothes. and then parents will not pay for the wash of clothes
Some students may not even be able to go to school because of how expensive having to buy uniforms is. That is not fair to the kids who want to go to school and get a good education but can’t because of how expensive uniforms are.
Kids having to wear school uniforms is not fair. Students shouldn’t have to wear school uniforms because it doesn’t allow individuality, uniforms are very expensive and because it takes away a kids freedom of expression.
The most obvious point against uniforms is that they restrict self-expression. We live in a dynamic society, full of unique characters that make our world a spontaneous one. Cutting that off at a young age only stifles creativity and encourages conformity. We want to encourage our children to be expressive and to think outside the box. Forcing them to wear ugly gray sweater vests and starched white shirts is not the way to do that.
"Some English schools see uniform as a quick fix for a range of problems. However, serious discipline and academic issues are unlikely to be solved by nostalgically resurrecting the blazer or draconian decrees issued from the headmaster's study regarding skirt length.
Students flourish when they're treated as free-range individuals, rather than battery-hen units that must conform. Examples from around the world show that high standards of discipline, team spirit and attainment are not synonymous with school uniform.
Importantly, the lack of uniform is widely debated among our students – they're aware of the danger of defining individuality in terms of clothing, and of issues such as body image and self esteem. As media savvy individuals they are suspicious of attempts by some schools to use uniform as part of their corporate identity and brand."
When we ask student councils about the issues of concern to them, this often comes up. It's even more of a concern in mixed schools where, every day, girls see their male classmates come to school in trousers… Some girls really, really hate – absolutely hate – to wear skirts. It is a dated system. In any other walk of life, we wouldn't dream of telling girls that they have to wear a skirt. So why is it acceptable to inflict it on them at school?
Rather than promote an orderly and disciplined student environment, mandatory uniforms would cause massive student disobedience and take away valuable instruction time. If one or two students wear something inappropriate, administration will handle it. The student in question will change, be disciplined, and return to class without disrupting the school day. [South Carolina] Rep. McKnight's [mandatory uniform] policy would trigger massive backlash from students, and would cost countless hours of classroom instruction. Public schools already have dress codes which ban provocative, revealing, gang-affiliated, and hateful clothing, which addresses Rep. McKnight's concerns in introducing the bill.
Harrow's distinctive uniform is not simply an exercise in conformity, but a connection to the rich history of the school and a symbol of its distinguished community… These elements make boys feel that they belong to something bigger than themselves. The simple act of putting on a uniform makes every day an occasion, and indicates a readiness for the day ahead…

ditching school uniforms would not only cost parents more money, and would be a bad idea all around. In fact, school uniforms are as important as student laptops in the education experience...
Interestingly, what most excites children going to school for the first time is usually their uniform. Every five-year-old can appreciate wearing a school uniform is a powerful rite of passage, and an equally powerful statement of belonging.
"While uniforms do assuage the best-clothes competition, they create a new and more painful contest: the best-body competition. When every student is wearing the same uniform, everyone fills it out differently. They can expect to be ridiculed for not looking as fantastic in their uniforms as some of the better-looking students. And this could be catastrophic for anyone with a less-than-perfect image of themselves... There's also the problem of students' squelched individuality.
Schools spend so much time trying to keep their students under control that they end up squashing the sparks that some of those kids were born with.Uniforms jeopardize the ability of America's youth to express themselves, to become the people that they want to be.
Also, uniforms increase student safety. They prevent thefts because no one's clothes are more valuable. Moreover, intruders can be easily sighted. It is easier for field-trip chaperones to know for which students they are responsible.
Yet another benefit of uniforms is that they teach students to dress according to guidelines. Some believe that uniforms do not prepare students for the real world in which people wear whatever they want. However, most workplaces have uniforms or dress codes.
Why high schools get to wear home clothes and why in america schools students wear home clothes every student has a right to wear anything if students get to choose the clothes which they are wearing they will be happy.
No, I've been to both uniform schools and normal schools and I can say the kids don't behave any differently. It's not distracting since their only rule is that your clothes must not be too revealing.
We think that we should not wear school uniforms as children have the freedom to choose what they like. There should be no school uniforms so that every pupils rights are reserved. (Duaa.F)
Children in early years should wear home clothes as in uniforms they are not comfortable but in home clothes they feel that they are at home and have fun without crying. (Eman.H)
