tell the truth or lie????????
Well, some people tell the truth all of the time, and all of the people tell the truth some of the time. But ALL of the people don't tell the truth ALL of the time. For instance, a highly unlikely 'for instance', if you were a western agent spying on North Korea and were arrested on suspicion of espionage I'm pretty sure most people would lie. ''Are you a Yankee spy''? Me a spy?, ha, don't be ridiculous. ''Naa, I love North Korea and only came here to get Kim Jong-un's autograph''. While most people are not compulsive liars everyone, to a greater or lesser extent, tells a lie on occasions. The person who says they don't, or have never told a lie is a LIAR, the worst type of LIAR. A sanctimonious, low down, self-righteous, smug bastard of a LIAR. On the flip side of the coin;- an ''habitual'' liar's greatest punishment is not that no one believes him, but that he can believe no one else. A sanctimonious, low down, self-righteous, smug bastard of a LIAR. Hello A: What kind of liar are you??? You spend DAYS, and DAYS and even more DAYS talking about bongos, and their big lips, and how they CAN'T compete with the white man... Then, when I called you out, you said, "I'm only KIDDING".. I only PRETENDED to be a racist to see WHO I would suck in.. And, when you SUCKED me in, I was the bad guy for believing your lying ass... But, you ARE a racist AND a liar. You just didn't like me calling you out on it.. So, I ain't going nowhere, and I'm gonna be IN your shit.. excon Well, there are liars, damned liars and excon liars. But fear not, I always give credit where credit is due. You're the biggest and best pathological liar on the site and by far and away the worst and most dangerous racist on the internet. Your pathological lying combined with your incurable toxic racism and irrational hatred of white people must make you a very real danger to many of those around you. Let's hope the ''men in ''WHITE'' coats'' come and take you away before you go completely cuckoo and harm yourself or a white member of the general public. Don't forget, on the hour, and every hour, stand up, open your front door and go;- cuckoo-- cuckoo-- AT A FREQUENCY COMPATIBLE WITH THE TIME OF DAY, GOT IT? 'ROARS OF LAUGHTER FROM THE BACK STALLS''. B.T.W. do you honestly think in your wildest dreams that I actually read all the ramblings of a raving racist lunatic? Scribble your racist nonsense until your ''BLACK'' heart is content, but I sure won't be wasting my time reading any of it. I'm just about to finish cutting the garden grass so now would be a good time for you to start typing. Well, come on, GET CLACKING. 1

If a lie doesn't hurt anyone then why not lie, especially if it causes benefit to oneself or others to lie? Lying hurts the entire species. Humanity can't progress forward or make intelligent decisions unless it knows the truth. When you lie you make a decision that your desires are more important than any other consideration, which is not only selfish, but potentially disastrous for everybody else. Lying is highly addictive if people begin to see positive results from it. Over time, the lies usually get bigger and more frequent. It becomes a progressive disease of the mind. 2

Surely there are situations where the lie wouldn't have any risk of hurting anyone other than the liar. If you're in trouble and you lie in some way that shifts the blame off of you, for example, a teacher accuses you of being too lazy to do your homework, but you lie and tell them the dog ate it, or you left it at home, nobody is harmed there other than maybe the liar, but the liar knows the options and makes the decision, accepting the consequence. There is a risk of being discovered, but is there anything wrong with taking a risk that could only hurt yourself? I don't see how this hurts the entire species. 1

Lying is basically the same thing as gambling. You swap the truth for a chance to win something more favourable. But any seasoned gambler will tell you that, the longer you play, the more certain it is that you will eventually lose. Liars always get caught out eventually. Unfortunately, we have created a society where certain liars are insulated from reprimand even after they have been caught (powerful politicians, bankers etc...). This is the absolute worst of situations, because they suffer no consequences for their lies and hence have little incentive to remain honest. The consequences for their dishonesty are not born by them, but instead are born by other people. 1

It completely depends on the situation. Usually you should tell the truth. But, what if it's Nazi Germany in WWII and you get caught hiding a Jew from the Holocaust. The Nazis suspect you know where more are hiding (and you do). So do you tell them and let those other people die, too? That's a scenario where telling the lie is the nobler thing to do, even if it gets you killed for doing it. |
