I would argue yes to a certain extent. Though I am not a logical thinker, I've put some extra effort into thinking about the possibility of time travel. While I do not believe it will ever physically be possible for our bodies as a whole to travel back in time, I think at some point in the future we will be able to send our minds through time. To me right now, in this age of current scientific developments, only time traveling to the past seems logical. People could travel back to their fondest memories, revisit those who had already passed away, and things of the sort. To restate: I really do not at this point find time traveling forward plausible. But time traveling backward in a person's memory DOES seem plausible. Importantly the time traveling would stay within the person's memory, unless the person time traveling was a master of history.

yep time travel can be made possible. it happened in harry potter it can happen to us muggles too ;););););)

Side: yes

I time travel every second of every day to the future. If you don't believe me, just wait a second and you will find yourself one second into the future ;)

Time travel is a thing people think about and is said to be nothing but a fantasy but I disagree I think time travel is fully possible anything that has happened can of course be revisited yet very difficult because of the layers of time and Dementions in space it is so hard that Manny people put it in the category impossible but that is just the same as rounding 5 to the nearest 10 you get a answer but not the correct answer.

To the future Yes time travel is possible if a person hibernate 100years you can consider that he traveled to the future. And if a person is put in a place where gravity is higher assuming we will discover how to make artificial gravity time will pass for him more slowly then anyone outside that field of gravity we observe that phenomena in nanoseconds between high and low places to sea level.

Higgs particles are thought to jump through time and space. Can people do the same? I do not know. But time travel, even in subatomic particles, is time travel

Higgs particles is as yet a hypothetical particle It hasn't been proven to exist.

Higgs particles and Higgs singlets are theoretical.

neutrinos, on the other hand, are not

Physicists have isolated limited methods of traveling to the past, but no practical means have been developed.

The succession of events occurs naturally regardless of human perception. The question in the OP usually entails a theory of ‘jumping’ forward or backward between now and the events that occurred in the past and the future.

I believe that time travel into the future is possible; in fact, I’m doing it right now. Even the thought of ‘jumping’ into the future doesn’t seem too farfetched to me. Traveling BACK in time however, I don’t think this is possible. Consider this: You build a time machine and travel back in time and accidentally kill the past you. How is it then, that you built a time machine to travel back in time? Going further: If, by accidentally killing the you in the past causes no time machine to be built, then how could you have killed the you in the past in the first place? It’s a paradox.

Aside from the obvious absurdity, past events do not exist in and of themselves. Events exist, and then cease to exist. Future events have yet to come into existence, so it is only logical to predict that ‘time travel’ into those events is probable.

So my belief is that yes, people can travel in time to the future, but once there, you cannot travel back to the present time as that would then be the past.

We either have to accept that if time travel is possible we will, by our actions , create all sorts of paradoxes, or accept that we will create alternative universes. The paradox problem will not go away. As for alternate universes, the mind boggles!

I don't believe so. Time is a man-made tool to keep track of events. Everything just happens one after the other. The closest you get to time travel is doing something over again that already happened previously like some kind of historic re-enactment.

Time is a man-made tool to keep track of events so is mass, energy, gravity, math (every thing in physics)

"so is mass, energy, gravity, math (every thing in physics)"

Those are things that exist regardless of human perception. Although, the majority of mathematics systems and equations are man-made as well. Time doesn't really exist.

Depends in what context you are looking at it.

If you mean through time, the fourth dimension time. Then right now it is theoretically impossible. Unless you can warp the fourth dimension and beyond.

But if you mean time travel, inside a person's own memory, then yes that is quite possible. Although difficult.

Of course time travel, in the fourth dimension, is possible. In fact you are traveling through time right now. And if by time travel you mean that you can control how you travel through time, you can do that too. Just go at 99.9% the speed of light. Actually, theoretically, (from special relativity and Stephen Hawking's books) you can travel into the future, but it is theoretically impossible to travel back in time.

If you think about it, assuming that you know some of the principles of relativity, since everyone is traveling at different speeds and velocity in the first 3 dimensions relates to speed in the fourth dimension, time, everyone is a time traveler and everyone travels through time at different speeds.

I'm using it in the context that is, warping or manipulating the fourth dimension though.

Side: No

It is impossible to go back or forward in time. It's only a pipe dream.
