Eat less fat and carbs, exercise more.

One of the best ways, one that worked for me is doing a little exercise many times in the day, and cutting portion sizes in half and do not snack, short run in the morning, come home, 50 crunches, push ups and a couple of minutes on my rowing machine, ten chin-ups every time I pass the bar, walking/cycling instead of driving, wrap-up and walk faster than you normally do, work up a sweat. I leave dumbbells on the sitting room floor, when I get to sitting down in the evening I do a few curls followed by other reps.

Not eating too much every day.

you haven't stated if fun or easiness considerations are counted. if not , the most efficient way i see to burn body fat besides starving yourself is to become fully vegan with avoidance of all sweets , and barley any cheese or eggs enough to maintain normal body strength. and running at extreme speed for as much hours a day as possible. you will probably lose a two-digit number of weight in less then a month.

The equation is simple:

Gained calories > Burned calories = Weight gain

Gained Calories < Burned calories = Weight loss

It really doesn't matter what you're doing as long as you are becoming physically exhausted from it then you are burning calories from it. The only advice I can give is to make light exercise routine, so that way it simply becomes second nature to you and it will be easier.

There is no specific exercise and food combination that yields the best results. You just have to put in the effort. Also do not go from no exercise to a lot of exercise too quickly, you will crash. Too great of an increase can be detrimental.

Simply just pry yourself from the couch and get outside and walk, or if you want another donut eat it while walking or biking. or you could simply move to a third world country and try their diet.
