what would be the present state of the world if western colonizations never took place?
That's an intriguing question, and of course we can only speculate.
I'm not going to romanticize that the inhabitants of North and South American would on their own have equated to the technological advancement of Europe or that they would have been peaceful and one with nature. They would have had their own growing pains. But eventually trade with the East and West would have brought them more up to date, and their abundance of natural resources probably would have made them very rich. If they could have somehow stayed out of both World Wars they might now be the richest jewels on the whole planet.
Or, in the absence of pre-existing colonizations, when the World Wars hit they might have resulted in Germany expanding into them relatively easily.
Depends on which point the things change.
Let's say, the black death never happened, west stayed under christianity and was never civilised and never invented machines.
Then, we would have probably had Russia or Japan taking the initiative on technology (the only other strong enough candidates were China and India, and both had been too stagnant to do anything in those times).
