People who support Proposition 8 say that it solidifies the historic concept of marriage as being one man and one woman. If not passed, then they warn gay marriage will be taught in schools as acceptable lifestyle. Parents should be able to decide what religious beliefs their children have, not the state. This proposition lets the people decide whether gay marriage is acceptable, instead of leaving the decision to the judges.

I'm for it. And I don't give a rat's ass if anyone bitches at me about bringing religion into this thing, but according to the bible, marriage is a special and spiritual bond between a MAN and a WOMAN. i believe that about marriage and that's that.

Now don't think I'm anti-gay either. I have a few of my best friends are gay, and they know how i feel about this proposition and they respect my views just as much as I respect theirs.

I'm voting for it in the name of the things I believe in.

I feel that people should uphold our constitution as proud Americans.I feel that if you are an American, then you are deliberately going against everything that our ancestors have worked so hard for. I feel that if you are no on 8, then the constitution and your own COUNTRY mean ABSOLUTELY nothing to you!! I believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman. I believe that God created a traditional marriage for a reason, there is a purpose for everything. I believe that same-sex marriage decreases the value of getting married. People try to argue that everyone should have equal rights about marriage, but equal rights are not the problem. There are great health risks and dangers that can occur in same sex marriage practices, compared to very little risks in Traditional marriage practices.

Bottom line is we were made to be with a man or a woman. NOT two men or two women. It DOESN'T work that way!

You can sit and argue that we believe this because of our Christian beliefs, but the fact is there are more reasons why we believe what we believe.

YOU should open your eyes and see why this is CLEARLY wrong!

Until we, as a nation, and we, as gay people as well as their supporters, begin to say YES on this type of amendment you will keep the steel doors of discrimination impenetrable and our children will remain in the dark ages of their parents minds! Children should be taught about all the differences in our society and they should be presented in a positive light so they CAN be discussed at home. Communication is key here as well. Allow your kids to communicate with you without fear of repercussion.

Gay mirage is morally wrong. Homosexuality is a choice, its not something that people are born into.
