Cigarette Taxes: Do they really want you to quit smoking?
I heard the other day that another $2.00 tax will be put on cartons of cigarettes here in Connecticut. Do you really think they want us to stop smoking or do you think it's just an easy hit on the smokers for more taxes?

I think it's just another way to collect more taxes. The government doesn't really want you you to stop smoking. They collect millions of dollars of taxes every year that you do...and if they did, why is it that I've never even seen a brochure advocating less use of tobacco sent by the government? Or programs that are available free of charge, paid for by tax dollars to get you to quit smoking. I think it's a bunch of crap, pure and simple. 149 days ago | Tagged As: No, just more taxes
this is just another tactful plan that actually has 2 way benefits to the government. but the main target is to get money ofcourse. The main ponit to be noted that there are a lot of people who live on cigerates rather than on food! and this is a weapon to get some money on this "health - crap" Basis! 166 days ago | Tagged As: No, just more taxes
