It's more like Linux > Windows > OS X.

See, I say this because OS X sucks. There's hardly any good software for it and hardly any games for it. Oh, yeah you can get emulation software but any legal software you can get to run windows programs on a Mac are expensive. And if you buy a mac and then decide to buy emulation software... Well... "That's a really expensive windows machine you've got there."

Also, all Mac Computers use proprietary hardware so if you want to upgrade a mac you have to buy parts from Apple. With a monopoly like that, they can charge whatever the hell they want for parts.

Linux on the other hand is open source and powerful as hell, modular and free game for everyone. Because it's open source, everyone can contribute and if a bug is found a patch can be released the next day. Neither Microsoft or Apple have that kind of power and they never will because they don't give a damn what their customers think.

There's free software you can get to emulate windows and mac programs(Wine and etc.).

More than half of the servers in the world run Linux because it's powerful, reliable, secure, and smooth. I guess if we're talking on a consumer level, Windows is king and always will be as long as Microsoft doesn't screw up in the near future... Lookin' at you Vista.

But honestly, What does OS X have? A pretty theme? It's utterly useless. Not because it has absolutely no features but because you can have all of those features and a lot more with windows or linux. Plus it's not a bitch to upgrade your rig if you feel the need to.

They're also significantly overpriced, since you're also paying for the "brand". Take a Mac and a PC with matching specs, and the Mac will cost $1k more.

Macs are PCs, ever since Apple abandoned PowerPC and began to use Intel-based processors in their products.

Since modern Macs are a subset of PCs, PCs > Macs.

Macs are too proprietary. I have to buy their crap. I can't use of the shelf stuff.

It's just my preference because it's what I'm used to using. I don't hate Mac, but PC is better in my opinion.

1. Most PC's are cheaper, WAY cheaper.

2. More power and freedom for your buck, upgrading isn't very hard.

3. More software and games available.

4.You can build your own PC and customize it to your interests.

5. Windows 7 is being reviewed as a much better OS than any other currently available, even in its early Release Candidate stage, so the "vista sucks" argument is pretty much out the door this time (and Vista didn't suck that bad, the service packs helped it out a lot).

6. No dull, uniform black and white designs are required.

I like PCs because those are the computers that I've always used. I've been using them my whole life, and will continue to use them for my whole life. I get it when people say PCs have lots of glitches, especially Vista, but Macs just bug me. Too many stupid applications. The dock also really bothers me, I prefer taskbars.

PCs all the way. Most of my buddies are Macs, but whatever. Also, has this debate not already been brought up?

PC came first and they have every option with a touch of a button and with a mac you have to but all these infared things and software.

This debate was already created, and i believe PC won.

they're not over priced, and in more of the new ones it comes with everything you need in the box. You get a mac, you need to buy everything you could think of using seperately. In addition, mac is all look and no function.

Mac computers are just as ridiculously overpriced as the M.A.C. makeup, but people love both because theyre pretty.

Yes, several times! I really wish they would use the search for debates to ascertain when the last debate date was.

1.) What software are you talking about exactly (examples).

See, I say it has no good software because when you go to Walmart... amazingly.... there's no mac software. I wonder why? You browse on the internet and most free games and apps you can find were built and compiled exclusively for Windows... Or sometimes Linux. I don't know why it works that way.

2.)Apple has Mac only Applications and because it's based on Unix, you can run ANY Linux application natively in OS X.

I don't know where you got your source for that but it's a lie. OS X is a heavily modified and customized Unix. It lacks libraries and dlls and compatability with those libraries in order for it work work with all Linux applications.

3.)Apple hardware is not proprietary.

You proved your own point by the OS X's lack of ability to adapt to other hardware due to a lack of drivers. It's proprietary.

4.) Linux's open source software (including Wine) and free games all run on OS X.

See number two.

5.)More than half od the servers in the world run Linux because it is smooth and secure but mainly because IT'S FREE.

Hey, don't fault it because it's free. That's just all the more reason not to buy an expensive ass mac and build a Linux machine instead.

6.) OS X has everything Windows has besides Direct X. Instead OS X uses OpenGL.

You'd be surprised how many games use Direct X instead of Open GL. Plus, it's NOT just the graphics libraries that count. It's the fact that most of these games are built and compiled exclusively to run with windows machines because macs just aren't a good market for games.

I prefer PC because it's what I've grown up with.

But I still don't like Macs because they tend to be a lot harder to learn how to do stuff on, and that's coming from a guy who's great with computers.

I hate the mouse and how it doesn't even have a right-click, the keyboard and how it has lame substitute keys with different names, and just the look of Macs is terrible. Some of the programs on Macs are great to use occasionally, but that's about the only good thing I can say about them. Lately they've been getting better, but I'll always stick with the PC.

Macs just kind of seem like you have less freedom over your computer, as if your locked in! A PC is complicated and less simple, but who said that we wanted to be locked in such a small cage.

STOP CREATING STRAW MAN ARGUMENTS AND BE DIRECT.

Okay. The mac OS sucks balls because you can get the same power for FREE from Linux, and don't you DARE say OS X is more powerful, because it isn't and it NEVER will be because it isn't open source.

The mac OS sucks balls because everyone uses Windows. Yeah, I'm sure if it had the chance to shine MAYBE it'd be okay. But that's not the point. The point is, Apple screwed up and Mac is useless because by now, everyone is used to Windows

The mac sucks balls because I LIKE to customize my PC and be able to upgrade it whenever the hell I want and not have to buy a new 1000$ PC every single time PC hardware updates.

There is no justifiable reason to buy a mac other than a dumb preference or just plain stubbornness.
