Well, no matter what I'd rather be happy. Mainly because happiness is what we all strive for. Without the strive for happiness, there is no point in living.

This is a stupid question. It always has been. Might as well ask "Would you rather be a piece of shit and happy or a human and miserable". If we can be both a piece of shit and happy, we would rather be that. As long as we're happy, none of that other shit matters.

Making money is just to fulfill desires. We fulfill desires in order to be happy. If you're already happy, you don't need money.

i would rather be poor and happy, i mean im the type of person that money has no effect on me, it doesn't matter to an extent. But when it comes to bills, it's a good thing to have, and to buy stuff, but other than that it's an inconvenience to have.

Our whole lives are for the "Pursuit of Happiness" the only things that matter in life you can't buy with money anyways, don't get me wrong I love money but no one necisarilly needs it, its just another one og the government's ways to keep everyone in line. If I was rich and unhappy I would throw all my money in a fire just to be happy for one day.

I would want to be happy and poor rather than being rich and miserable. Why would anybdy want to be miserable.If you want to be miserable and rich you must be desperate for money because being miserable can hurt you more than if you were poor and happy. So I would poor and happy anyday.

The question wasn't if you'd use money to make yourself happy. You have two options: poor and happy or rich and sad. Bottom line. You have to live in one of the two.

Happiness depends upon the mind. You can be equally happy while rich or poor. The main reason we want money is to attain happiness.

Why would we replace our main goal (happiness) with that which we believe is the means to attain it (money)?

Whenever someone buys food in America, they are not buying food, they are buying packaging.

The key point i am going to make is how may rich people are genuine with their intentions toward others. People are already ridiculously selfish, and wealth just makes it worst especially if you are born into it, you dont look at anyone else with true compassion.

dont lie rich people are selfish unless what they are doing benefits them some way, you'd do nothing but buy stuff, take to doing drugs, and have sex with random people. In the end you would be miserable.

I had an idiot bag my groceries today as I often do. He smashed the bread beneath the tuna fish. He broke three yogurt's when he dropped my beer on top of them, which consequently foamed over when I opened one just now,

and he was smiling and laughing the whole time.

In my sleep I am bright enough to bag groceries without crushing the bread.

He apparantly cannot, and with practice even.

He is fat, ugly, older than me but lives with his dad and doesn't have a car I know because I go to the same store all the time and have seen him come and go, and only god knows what a bagger is paid.

But there bagging my groceries, the only time I can think I could possibly be as happy as he, is that second I shoot a load, and only if it's into a supermodel.

I would rather be poor and happy because I wouldn't want to be sad all the time but got money.
