Police and SCDF are part of National Service as they are serving the country.Finish.End of that.National Service contain a wide range of people but it simply means serving the country.Secondly, why isn't National Service nurturing people for the better?Do you think that the Ministry of Defence would just implement National Service for fun?Of course not.See National Service in a better way.If you can't then there is another reason why you should be going to National Service.Forget about the strictness of it.Forget about wasting time and so on.If you are a Singaporean, you should know what's best.If you don't,GO NS! By the way,the waking up on time is just an exaggeration.Even I wake up using an alarm clock but it's just an exaggeration.
So the police and the SCDF need not go to National Service?National Service is separated to HomeTeam,Police and the Army. So,internal and external defence are pretty much because of National Service."Parents are the one who should mould their children not outsiders."Then let me ask you,why aren't your parents teaching you English,Mathematics,Science,Art,Home Economics,Mother Tongue,Design and technology and so on?Aren't teachers 'outsiders' too?Imagine a world where parents teach or nurture their children although they are already adult. So,if a couple has 10 children, they will just commit suicide right? No more schools,no more universities and most importantly,no more National Service.First of all,as a Muslim, morning prayers start at 5.45 am not exactly 5 am.Secondly, one cannot expect everyone to be like oneself as people differ. Some people might wake up at 9 am or even later and so,national Service will get them to be more disciplined and teach them to wake up earlier by strict routines which I think is fair.If one accidentally slip, could he be able to get himself up with a lot of scratches and wounds,or by some help by others?Take National Service as a life changer not a house of torment. For the last point given for the temptation, you have just given another reason why National Service is mandatory.Thanks.
No,as it depends on the students too.I mean,if a lot of people hate a teacher just because of a punishment that they deserved, does that mean that the students has rights to 'overthrow' the teacher? It would be unfair as lots of students nowadays are looking for freedom and are upright lazy due to advanced technology.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
