yes, i believe government is necessary. I say this because the government is what keeps our society stable and running properly. if we didn't have a government jobs would decrease, which could result in the value of the dollar bill decreasing. not only would jobs decrease, but so would the overall health of the citizens, there would be less doctors, resulting in less advancements in the medical field which would overall lead to a lower life expectancy. that is if you aren't already dead, because of a lack of laws and criminal punishment for your wrongdoings, people would probably kill you if you disagreed with them, after all there would be no laws. overall these are just some of the reasons that the government is extremely necessary in todays society.
