I believe that a government is necessary for multiple reasons. For example, it provides us safety by enforcing laws and public policies. Government also provides us with security for our homes, money, cars, etc. Another reason why the government is necessary is that it has enough power to be the majority that promotes the well being of all people. From the Social Contract, once agreeing, we as people may not take matters into our own hands. This also helps provide a sense of security and safety to us all. The government also as a democracy allows us freedom and equality in any opportunity, such as politics and education. Lastly, the Preamble states that the purpose of a government is to: form unity, establish justice, insure domestic tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote general welfare, and secure the blessings of liberty. All in all, I believe government is necessary due to that it provides us safety and security of ourselves and our valuables, promotes for the well being of all, as well as giving us freedom and equality.
