I believe that the government is necessary in order to keep our nation sane. No matter if we have a leader or not, people will eventually come together and form some type of leadership. Without the government, the United States would be extremely chaotic. Citizens wouldn't be able to wake up in the morning and feel refreshed because the sewer system is shut down, or the garbage isn't taken out because our taxes couldn't pay the garbage men to come and collect our trash all around the city. No government means no laws, which would make the crime rates higher and many more people would be murdered and money would be stolen, without anyone being able to do anything about it, since the prison is also shut down due to no taxes. Yes, no one likes paying taxes. Everyone feels the same way. But the government takes our taxes and creates the society we have today... All because of everyone who contributed to paying taxes (even though it's a law, you have to pay taxes). So, again I say, government is definitely necessary in order to keep our nation a nation, while keeping everyone safe and giving them the freedom they deserve.
