Without the government, we would be left without all of the services it provides such as emergency services, water and electrical companies, and jobs or welfare. We would have no financial system and no communication with other countries or militant safety the government provides. We would run out of food that can't be grown at home due to no one doing their jobs as well as no place to get things you cannot make yourself. Without laws or anyone to enforce them, it becomes "everyone for themselves". Given enough time, society may learn to function on its own without the government but likely, another government, or something like it, would be formed through time.
