I disagree with your statement. I believe that even if there were no governing bodies doesn't mean that we as citizens can't all unite to defend our country. I mean even if we have no "leader" that doesn't mean we can't open our minds to a different way to defend. We can also still make alliances with other countries by all of us agreeing at a time of distress to seek help from others. Overall I believe that even though there isn't a government doesn't mean that the people of this nation can't come together and protect it.

I believe that having no government would be better in the end. One reason is because there would be no politics which cause most of the riots/fights in America. Also there would be no taxes so you wouldn't have to pay a government ever. There would also be no currency so it would be harder to have corruption. We would have to rely on each others skills to survive which could unite us. For example if I, as a farmer needed to build a house I would have to rely on someone that knows how to build one that they are doing a good job and give him some food as payment. Having to rely on each other on a more personal level could end up uniting us. Additionally, everything would be more local. There would be no chain nation-wide business that would force the local ones out of business because it would be hard to have employees on such a large scale with no unified currency. Therefore everyone would shop more local making the nation more community oriented which is a good thing. All and all, I believe that having no government would be the better way to go in the long run.
