I agree with everything you said in your claim. Their aren't to many pros of having no government and something like "paying taxes" seems like a small task when thinking of their being no laws. People would also have to think about the food and water as you said. We have seen E.coli in the new recently do to the disease being spread through lettuce. Given that their would be no regulations you would expect to see that rate go way up without a government. I thought the example you gave showed my ideas about the subject as well.

Government is very necessary to have a state that is thriving and stable. The first purpose of the government was to protect us, or the people. They protect us not just from other states but also from other people by enforcing laws that we all must abide by. Without these laws our safety would not be insured and also anarchy could also ensue. Many may think the idea of complete freedom is intriguing but trust me it is not. Imagine waking up and thinking about all the things that could threaten you. If you drove nobody would be wearing a seatbelt or even looking at the road and their would be a high risk of a crash. At any point someone could come into your house and steel everything you own and there would be no repercussions. Anarchy would surely ensue if not for laws being in place. The government also regulates the cleanliness of many foods and also controls things like road work and disposal of trash. Without government you would have a build up of trash with nobody to take it away. You also wouldn't be sure if anything you eat is safe because the government is no longer their to make sure it's ok. Without government nothing would seem to work in society and many things would fall apart. If we as citizens lost that agreement we would be lost.
