I believe that Russia made a good decision by selling Alaska to America, because at the time, Russia was vulnerable. After the Crimean war, Russia needed the money, and the U.S was looking to continue expansion. Russia also knew that if they did not sell Alaska, that it could have been seized by the U.K, and Russia would not have money to defend.
