When God first created Adam and Eve, he gave them a mind of free will. He easily could have said "you will obey me, and do as I wish" but then what would have been the point? He wanted them to do this of their own free will. They chose to disobey him. All evil in this world is created by humans themselves. God doesn't just punish us for sin, but also rewards us for good.
Evolution may be true, but Darwinian Evolution/Natural Selection can not be proven.
As a senior in high school, I find that the ignorance, lack of motivation, disrespect, irresponsibility, and sheer amounts of immaturity of this generation frankly astounds me. The drama going on around me as I walk through the hallways saddens me. Members of this generation seem to be so willing to turn on friends and loved ones at the slightest provocation. A need for defiance seems to mold some of these kids into what they are with the argument that it is their form of "expression\". Why does it seem to be socially acceptable for teens to become pregnant? Perhaps I am going slightly off topic here but we need to think about what is causing these problems in order to fix them. To me it appears that rather than teaching our young women that the best way to avoid STD's or pregnancy is to avoid sex altogether, we are telling them "you can always just have an abortion" or "make sure you use contraception!" (as if that were fail-proof). As for the young men, what on earth makes a guy think it is okay to abandon a woman he has just had sex with and gotten pregnant, and then say "not my problem". Sure, it may have been a bad decision they both made, and the father will have to pay child support, but this does not even begin to scratch the surface in comparison with the burdens the mother will then face. This is just one of the problems I see. There are many others including drug use, violence, excessive profanity, financial irresponsibility, disregard for the well being of others, selfishness, and many, many more. I have not the time to go into detail with all of these. There may be a number of factors that help to contribute to the rise of these problems, but I believe the responsibility for this ultimately comes down to the the parents. Just as religious and political beliefs are almost always passed down from parent to child, so are the bad habits passed down. The fact is, teens with mothers who gave birth at a young age are far more likely to repeat the same behavior. Teen pregnancy rates are over twice as high in the U.S as in any other developed country. Teen births have been proven to cause a number of social and economical problems. I ask you all to take the time to read or to at a minimum scan through the first chapter of "Kids Having Kids", the link to which can be found here http://www.urban.org/pubs/khk/
