If anything, it should be lowered to 15. If it was raised to 21(the same age that consumption of alcohol is legal) then don't you see some problems here? If people learned to drive at a younger age, then they would gain more experience of being a responsible person. If they use their privilege irresponsibly, then they would deserve a punishment. I started driving at 16 right away, and I've learned that I was, and still am, better driver than most "adults" on the road. You know... Cars have turn signals for a reason. :d
Being gay is better than being straight hands down. Homosexual parents are STRONGLY better at their job than straight parents, only because they have heart and soul in their child. One thing that doesn't make sense about this debate is this "bible" thing being thrown around. One thing people need to get straight(no pun intended) is that the bible does not support ACTUAL evidence of anything it says. Yes indeed, it brings hope to people that are simply too blind and ignorant to find hope by themselves. Still, this does not show any relation to homosexual marriage. No book of possible fiction should tell who can and can't get married. It's a personal preference and everyone should honor the dignity and pride in a homosexual relationship.
- I apologize for the scattered arguments in this paragraph. It's really hard to stick to one topic when it makes me so angry that people actually believe they can tell who's allowed to get married and who's not. It sickens me that people can get away with such a crime to the point where I lose my train of thought.
There is no reason why minors shouldn't be able to get a tattoo. Tattoos are beautiful pieces of artwork that are meaningful and pleasant to keep with you to the grave. I was 16 when I got my first tattoo on my forearm, and it was one of the best decisions I have ever made in my life. I wake up in the morning to this beautiful piece of art with my three favorite words on it, and it drives me throughout my day. I would have to say that if I didn't get the tattoo, my life until now(30) would have been a lot more depressing and dreadful. Could I have waited? Yes, I very well could have. But why would I want to? We only get one life and one youth. We might as well enjoy it while we can. Still, a parents consent and physical presence during the process should be required, but parents shouldn't react so harshly on their kids for wanting to get a tattoo.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
