Obama is failing only because he didn't put ENOUGH in to make a difference, here in Britain we are doing so much worse than the Americans because our Government has been cutting, cutting, cutting. Now we're entering double dip. It certainly wasn't cutting that got us out of the Great Depression, that's for sure. Also, Keynesian theories are a way to get circulation up, if you spend then people have more money who then spend it, the cycle continues. If you cut, money is being taken out of the Economy at the time when it really needs it, this credit crunch was caused by a complete lack of faith in the markets, if governments spend then they also make the public think that it's fine to spend too! :)
Personally, I think that a person, ANY PERSON, ought to have the right to choose whether they want to be experimented on. This may be painful, it may be lonely, it may be damaging, a baby can still feel all these things. To put someone through that without their consent is wrong... get someone who has a choice to do it.
You should try to be communist, even if you don't quite get there. If you fail to reach your goal but get halfway it's better than not getting anywhere at all. The theory of communism is good, nobody can deny the fact that equality (of opportunity, rather than outcome maybe) is good, it's fair and it's right, nobody should be penalized because they were born into a poor family right? Studies and tests have proven that people are happier if people are more equal, in Switzerland for example, they have a huge welfare state and they are they happiest country in the world! Happiness should be a goal in life, not making money and equality (which is essentially what Communism fights for) brings happiness :)
The reason that they are obese is because fast food, which is the unhealthiest option for anyone to eat, is also the cheapest. These people literally can't afford healthy food so they have to have fatty, unhealthy food which then makes them obese. It's a sad but true fact...
Also, why the heck is there no "no" option...?
What brought us out of the Great Depression? Oh that's right, the War. What was the war an example of? Oh that's right, Spending Money. What does Keynes argue is the key to economic success? Oh that's right, Spending Money. Huh. That's weird, but it's not really is it? Keynesian is the way forward.
