Bottom line is that even though the teachings of Scientology are completely insane it still is a religion just for the fact that people want it to be. Especially in America where you have the "freedom" of religion...I don't believe Mormonism or JW should be accepted either, they are null in void in the mainstream religious views in my opinion, but my opinion means nothing people still follow those religions making them a religion
