I agree with you, Jake, especially your economy argument. China has the fourth largest worldwide oil industry, and China is expected to surpass the US by 2030. They also account for 1/3 of the world's GDP growth, which I don't think you noted.
China will be the future superpower globally. Economy wise, China is prospected to pass the US in many categories. China exports more than the US, and imports less, and they have the fourth largest oil industry in the world. They also are the manufacturing world leader, and the largest global trading nation exporting over 2 trillion dollars annually. Their GDP is still less that the US, $11.2 trillion to the US's $18.5 trillion, but is predicted to become the most globally by about 2030. China's urbanization rate is also poised to overtake the US soon. China makes up for 14.9 percent of the world's economy and is one third of the total growth globally. In debt, China also has almost one tenth of the amount that the United States has ($2.7T in China and $20T in the US).
China and the United States both have very advanced militaries, but China has slightly more resources, placing them above. China's military budget ($215.7 billion) is less than the US ($597 billion), but they still have exponentially more troops and more assets in their navy, and army. China's large population and dedicated citizens give their troops a substantial rise over the US, with 363,051,000 troops in their military, while the US has 7,502,690. China has advanced drones, and more total navy forces than the US as well.
China also has a slight advantage in political structure. China is very adaptive country and adjusts its system to cater to what is needed at the time. The United States have a much more rigid structure and do not defer from it at all, which can be a hindrance in certain situations. China also distributes political power differently, and only use it when needed. The US give political power but it is used more liberally and only the majority, even if slight, get to decide what is done in the country.
I agree, the bomb was clearly not the best choice. It may have been effective, but it cost too many innocent lives due to the Japanese government not backing down. Also, the 200,000 lives were just the initial cost. Over 350,000 have died due to the radiation and destruction this caused.
I agree with you. Both cities were lastingly plagued also with cancer, radiation sickness and poisoning, and burns due to the US's bombs.

The US was wrong to bomb the two Japanese cities. In Nagasaki almost 80,000 people in 1945 due to the nuclear bomb. In Hiroshima the blast alone killed 100,000, and the after effects doubled the death count in the next five years. To many Japanese lives were lost to consider the bombs a US victory.
I agree with you. North Korea is a large issue that needs to be resolved. The government repeatedly threatens the US while using their people as, at some points literal, slaves. North Korea cannot continue to get away with it's current situation. How the US should deal with this country, however, is a large problem.

But the North Korean citizens are still people, and people who are having their rights violated by and oppressive leader. The US cannot stand by as thousands of people live in poverty and unfair conditons

The United States should be concerned about North Korea. The people blindly follow Kim Jong-Un even though they live in terrible conditions. The UN has already several times showed concerns about the rights violations and has adopted a resolution condemning them. North Korea has shown many cases of discrimination against certain people or families in areas such as schooling, employment, and residence. The government classifies people into three groups, loyal, wavering and hostile. This is extremely unethical because a persons reputation could be destroyed by the government if put in the hostile group. North Koreans are not allowed any non-government approved media, and can be strictly punished if they are found with it. This creates an uneducated people with little free will that can be fully controlled by the government. The people of North Korea have almost no rights. Inhumane torture is used on undeserving people in unhealthy prison camps with awful conditions, and the government forces citizens to do unpaid labor for it. The US needs to interfere with this absolute violation of multiple human rights on the oblivious North Korean People.
