When students do standardized testing, they get all nervous. Not because the teachers stress these tests, it's because when you take a big test, your grade on that test depends on what college you will get in to and what jobs you will be able to get. Added to that, the tests are usually hard and that makes the students more nervous. This makes them not perform as well. So that means that stress could ruin that student's career if it was a test like the SAT. Many students also have learning disabilities like dyslexia. If they can't read the test very well, how can they do good? Another reason why there shouldn't be these tests is because since the tests are so long, students will rush through them just to get done. I have done this. Students get bored and they don't want to take the test anymore. This will also affect their grade and their future. That's why schools shouldn't have any more standardized testing.
I love Jesus. Amen. He is the creator of this universe. All of you who don't think so are missing out.
Women and men are equal. They might be different, but no female is better than a male and no male is better than a female. Alot of men disrespect women because of their gender. Let me just say that MALES START OUT AS FEMALES IN THE WOMB! People say that women are here just to sit and look pretty, let men do the hard work. BUT THAT´S NOT HOW IT IS!!!! Girls can work hard. They can be so much more. People hold men up to a higher standard but that's not how it should be. Women can work as hard as men if they try. People are holding women down to such a low standard that people are just giving up. Segregation not only happens with race, it happens with sex. "If you are a girl, you're not good enough. Just be smart and pretty, that's how boys like them". That's what they say but it"s so not true. Girls can be just as hard working and strong as boys can.
People believe that newborn babies aren't really "persons". Here is why they are:
The Fourteenth Amendment of the U.S. Constitution says that the state shall not deprive any person of life without due process of law. When that was written, the word human meant the same thing as person and could just as easily have been used.
But in Roe v. Wade, the U.S. Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion in the United States, the Court was faced with a conundrum. “If the suggestion of personhood [of the unborn] is established,” they admitted, “the appellant’s [pro-abortion] case, of course, collapses, for the fetus’s right to life is then guaranteed specifically by the [fourteenth] amendment.”[ii]
To solve this problem, the justices chose to abandon the historic meaning of personhood, and instead suggested that “personhood” is something different from being human. “Personhood” became something that a human being develops at some point, based upon some set of criteria. In the Supreme Court’s case, they argued that a human fetus develops personhood at the point of “viability”—i.e. the point when a baby can live outside a woman.
In the years that have followed, pro-choice advocates have made a long series of subjective and artificial distinctions based upon a wide variety of criteria to differentiate between humans and persons. The reason they’ve been forced to do this is because the scientific fact that life begins at conception paints the pro-choice movement into a corner. The development of ultrasound and modern embryology has made it very difficult for pro-choicers to deny that the fetus is human without looking anti-scientific. Therefore, the newer strategy is to say, “Okay, this is human life, but it isn’t really a person.”
But changing the meaning of words doesn’t change reality. The concept of “personhood” is now virtually worthless as an ethical guide in the matter of abortion. The only objective questions we can ask are:
“Is it human; that is, did it come from human beings?”
“Is it a genetically unique individual?”
“Is it alive and growing?”
If the answers are yes, then “it” is in fact a “he” or “she,” a living person, possessing rights and deserving of legal protection.
Dictionaries still define person as a “human being,” “human individual,” or “member of the human race.” What makes a dog a dog is that he came from dogs. His father was a dog and his mother was a dog, and therefore he is a dog. What makes a human a human is that he came from humans. His father was a human person and his mother was a human person, so he can be nothing other than a human person.
Cheeeessssssssssssssssssseeeeeeeeeeeeeee Ccccccccccchhhhhhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeeeeeessssssssssssseeeeeeeeeee
just because you state the facts does not mean that they are going to change their mind. They could not believe what you are saying.
That is what he is saying. You democrats think it is right to kill a baby when it has the right to live. Same with the slaves. It was legal at the time, but it does not mean it was right at all. Same with the babies. It is legal now, but that does not mean it is okay.
Pepsi has a better flavor and better taste. It is the best soda by far.
They do lose when they die. They go to hell and i think that is the worst loss anybody could ever experience.
They should not also because they are ruining our food. For lunches at schools, they now have vegetarian burgers and other disgusting things. How will we eat if they are taking over the things we eat?
