Yes, hallucinations are very real, but there are too many situations that couldn't be hallucinated. It's highly unlikely, for example, for everyone in a room to have the exact same hallucination, from different parts of the room. And how do you explain hazy figures in photos? What about the oujia board that knew exactly what song my friend had been singing by himself in his house the day before?

I absolutely understand skepticism, and I would even say it's justified, but I still have to disagree.

Uniforms seem evil, I know. But when students wear them, they carry themselves with more maturity. They allow for less bullying, and uphold a better educational environment.

No! MMO's are a quick way for game companies to make money! They consist of a total lack of storytelling, a group of people who dedicate their lives to sitting at their computers eating cheetos and chatting, and a shop of virtual weapons being sold for real money, so all of the rich kids win. In what world is this fun?

That's a pretty good approach, and not a bad argument for modern music. Bear in mind, though, that pop music is built to hook in your head, and to appeal more to a general audience. I'm not saying you're wrong. But I base my judgement on the intent behind the music. The majority of current pop stars are not in any way required to be talented, or even to have a nice voice. They have to look good, and present an image that the record companies like. Many of them have their songs written for them, which usually consist of little more than a repetetive four-chord progression and an electronic beat. My own bias aside, I feel bad supporting pop music, because it is just what the public wants. And currently, what the public wants is a catch phrase or two and a steady beat. I really enjoy some older pop, and there is even an occasional modern pop song that I tolerate. But in general, today's pop music isn't treated as an art form. It's just a moneymaker.

No, video games are like anything else- they must be used in moderation. They are, like it or not, an art form, allowing for interactive storytelling, and a level of immersion unnaccessable in a film or book. The fact that they appeal more than fine art to a general teen audience is beside the point.

Whether or not they are harmful is irrelevant(though I believe that they themselves are not), because they still fall under the category of free speech. We cannot place censors based on our own dislike or bias against something. I, for instance, find many games to be a waste of time. But that doesn't mean I can or should ban them.

Come down off your high horse, just because someone has less access to information doesn't make them idiots. They aren't the ones full of hot air.
