I've never seen or felt a ghost, how can I know if they're real? I also have never seen that the earth is actually round, so I don't have certainty about it. But, does it really matters? In the end, if it is or it is not, is a triviality. But people is always trying to share with others their own beliefs, as if they were not convinced of them at all...

I think that it's not a reason to dispute someone's argument. I'm sorry if I cannot write legibly as you say, but the English is not my mother tongue. It's easy to realize that you don't mind about the topic, because you just criticized the form of my argument, and didn't even try to ask for a better explanation. If you want me to have a better redaction, it's ok, but also I shall ask you to don't attack the person with your arguments next time, but to the content. Let's do this more interesting, right?

I think,

Abortion refers to what do we think happens after we make sex.

Capital punishment, refers to what do we think about human actions.

About the first, I understand what Aristotle says about potency and action, so I think that into the woman's womb is something 'destined' to be something A, and not B.

About the first, I think Plato is right when he says that 'no one does bad things, but when they're persuaded', so if there is capital punishment, maybe first should be taken into consideration what has lead the action of that person.

But as you can see, I picked two different reasons to agree with both. There's no need to agree or disagree with both them at the same time because of the same reason.

[ For me, I think it is right because I found some similarity between those two ideas (Aristotle's and Plato's) and myself, so, being something personal, it's probably impossible to establish a convention ]

Flat (obviating also the mountains and the basins left by asteroids).

If you never leave the earth on a skyrocket, then the earth will still be (infinitely) flat for you, because you'll always reach the same point walking on it... definitely as a kind of paradox, but very logical if you realize that who's over the surface of a sphere and doesn't know that, will see it as a plain undoubtedly.

I'm sorry, but have no time to read all the arguments and replies. I think 'peace' is something quite relative, and maybe Muslims are trying to look for some kind of peace that includes all of the mores of their religion, and through the way that for them is probably the most appropriate and, of course, accepted (and reasoned) by the one who exerts the strongest influence over them.

I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know!
