It is an essential need in our modern life, but people are getting overly dependent on them that results to the laziness and 'want to get things done fast' attitude. Also, too much of gaming will lead to some serious and unhealthy situation for example addiction. Not only gaming, television also causes unhealthy situations. A recent news stated that a child psychiatrist had many cases of children who suffer from panic attacks and invariably all of them are hooked to a late-night thriller serial and go to their parents complaining of their fear to go to the bathroom alone at night. Therefore i disagree to your statement and strongly think that technology is a bane to the society.

Therefore, many smartphone addicts may show symptoms of obsessive compulsive disorder, which is an anxiety disorder in which people have unwanted and repeated thoughts, feelings or behaviors.

I feel that technology is more of a bane than a boon to society. Technology has been an essential need in our modern life. Technology has been used in many different ways, for example organising management and even education. Technology has indeed made our life easier. However, people have been extremely dependent on technology that has caused laziness in humans. Humans just want to get their jobs done fast so that they have more time for rest. In the olden days, when people were bored, they would go outdoors to spend their leisure time. However in this generation, when we tend to spend our leisure time listening to music, chat with friends on the mobile phone and even gaming with video consoles. This would affect their daily lifestyles and characteristics.
