Agreed. Because:

1) Prohibition was the reason organized crime became so powerful that they were almost untouchable.

2) The taxes that the government gets from the two will disappear.

3) Too many companies (like Budweiser, Samuel Adams, Marlboro, new port) and small businesses (like bars and other restaurants) depend on them which means a lot of lawsuits.

So basically that is impossible.

There's a lot of reasons why people are racist or bigots in general. But for me, I think the major reason people are racist because they want to feel superior to another and picking out someone that looks very different from the rest of their group..

Sorry to have to tell you this but I don't swing that way.

You know what... Just get out of this debate. Anybody that reads you comments would immediately call you an imbecile. When I replied to that last post, I was thinking that you were talking about cannibalism. You know, that thing where a person eats another person. When I was talking about life, I meant anything that is considered a living organism by science.

If you want to live, you have to eat something that was once alive. If someone had a fork and knife over me and wanted to eat me, I would try to incapacitate him. Kill him if there was absolutely no other way to avoid getting his blood on my hands.

So do humanity a favor and shut up if you have nothing better to say because you obviously sound like a self-righteous prick that became a vegetarian only to feel 'holier than thee.'

From what you just wrote, I can conclude that you are indeed a troll. I specifically said the act of digging holes and then filling them up is useless but to the workers that do that, they're being paid and that's all that matters.

Lets say that you have no job to pay the rent, the car and fuel, food and water, etc. And considering the fact that jobs are scarce, finding a job would be hard. Then you find out about a company that is hiring and paying people to dig holes and then fill them up. Anybody that has a bit of common sense would take it. Again, I don't know why you have to be such a argumentative jackass about some device I used to make a point in the debate about vegetarians but if you want to argue about the uselessness of digging and filling in holes, then create your own debate.

How does that have to do with what I have to say? The argument that I made implies that in order for us to eat, a living organism has to die. In order for that burger to be made, a cow, a lettuce, a tomato, an onion, a cucumber, a lot of wheat, etc has to die. Yeah, vegetables are considered to be living organisms. And don't give me some lecture that ALL LIFE is precious and must be protected because that's not true. If that is true then there's nothing out there that we can actually eat without killing something, without being called murderers.

But for the sake of argument, what you just explained in your argument, if it can be called one, is cannibalism. Something that most societies consider barbaric, uncivilized and plain cruel. You must be stupid because in my argument I said, "In order for life to continue, the life of another must be sacrificed." I said the life of another, not someone. So from what you just said, I can definitely call you a retard or troll.

Did you read my description? I said digging holes so that a basement can be built and filling in holes in order to create a level foundation. How is that useless. And why are we arguing about a device used to prove a point. If you want to argue about that, make a debate about that in a separate post.

But for the sake of this argument I just have to say yes, it is useless to dig holes and fill them up... if you are the employer. After all, he is losing money to pay for the workers and to purchase and maintain the equipment. But to the workers, they are being paid so the job isn't useless. Those workers now have a job and now have a steady income for which they can use to pay the rent in their apartment room, buy the food and whatever they need and want. And considering how many people don't have jobs, that's a good thing.

The meat industry isn't useless otherwise it wouldn't be making money. That's because if it was useless, nobody would buy and then eat it. Big corporations and big businesses wouldn't do something unless there is a benefit which is PROFITS. And even more, eating meat can be cheap. I went to a grocery store and bought some ground beef and pork to make a burger. It cost a dollar per pound. Both beef and pork. That's good for the people that have low paying jobs.

But what I have to ask is why do you have to bring your crappy attitude into this debate. I even wonder how much of my argument have you read. Did you just catch the first sentence, immediately stopped reading and then concluded that I was some idiot? If so then you came to the wrong website because http://www.createtroll.com is the place for you.

Digging holes and filling them up isn't useless. That's called construction. If a house with a basement is going to be built, a hole has to be dug. If some property is too uneven with holes, you fill them and level it for use. You ask one of those hole diggers and hole fillers that their job is stupid, they probably would say, "Yeah but I'm being paid and that's all that matters." They are working for a living and isn't that productive?

Taxing and spending? If the government tries to tax too much, people tend to think, "Will I be able to pay them?" That is the fear that grips America. Will I have enough money for the taxes, the loans for the car, the house. Taxing and spending would put America in between a rock and a hard place. Theories are only theories. They don't always work the way they are written.

I agree that America has to raise awareness that eating too much meat is unhealthy considering how being fat raises a lot of medical dangers. And that means more has to be spent for something that could be avoided. But overall, meat has been with Humanity for a long time and always will be. It just tastes too good to resist.

I also don't understand why you have to call me a jackass. So I emphasized on some parts of my argument and you though that I was being offensive. This website was made for debate. Not name calling.

Are you kidding me? Do you know how many people don't have jobs right now? That's 9.7% of the population which is around 29,971,448 people. If meat was banned, the job market will be flooded with more people that need a job. The unemployment rate is constantly rising, slowly but surely. America cannot afford to ban meat.

And that tax idea, you do know that the money that would be spent on meat would then be spent on more vegetables so more taxes would mean pissing off A LOT of people.

Plus, do you know how many people love meat? Do you also know how many people love and exercise their 2nd Amendment right. Banning meat is like banning alcohol. Prohibition failed so banning meat will also fail. MISERABLY.

Banning meat would be a bad thing. What will happen to all those workers that get paid to do what they do. Considering how big the Meat industries and franchises are, banning meat would worsen the debt America already has.
