To me it would make more sense, if anyone tried to force their belief on you, to just walk away instead of wasting your energy on something you don't consider real.

First off, music varies so much even wihin its own genres that it is impossible for any genre to have any kind of lasting effect on anyone.

Even artists contradict themselves often. Heck, in one song you can probably find points that contradict themselves.

It's when kids decide to emulate other people, whether celebrities or not, that it becomes an issue. It stems from not knowing who to be or if it is ok to be yourself, and most of the time, that's a lesson probably best taught by parents.
