I disagree completely.
The descriptions given are legal descriptions, but does that mean we should believe everything that claims to be "legal"?
A developing fetus or embryo is a human being in development.
It being "unborn offspring" does not mean that it is not offspring.
It is a human being, not yet fully formed, but living.
It is a life, so the deliberate killing of any life is murder, even if that life is inside of something else.
Therefore, abortion is murder.
Jesus did not necessarily support slavery, nor does the Bible in general. In the Bible, there were servants who did work, and there was a large distinction between servants and slaves. During Jesus' time, servants were treated as members of the family, but were paid for it. Slaves were treated much differently. Therefore, the Bible clearly does not condone slavery, merely servitude.
I also disagree. I believe that those who believe in God do not want a convenient explanation. The existence of God makes complete sense if you think about it. There is one main point here. For anything to move, it has to be moved by another. For example, a desk cannot move by itself; someone has to push it. No matter how long the universe has been in existence, something has to have initially put it into motion - something that did not have a creator. That being or entity is called God.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
