Believe me, the period of 10-15 years, as you mentioned, is a relatively short period of time, compared to that in the near future alternative energy sources will become the only because non-renewable sources of energy will disappear.

Secondly, the life of these plants can be three to four times longer.

Finally, the government can engage the construction of these stations, and at the state level, these costs do not seem so huge.

You wrote " that renewable power facilities cannot be built anywhere".

With regard to nuclear power plants and wind stations ... It seems to me no one

sober-minded engineer would build nuclear power plants in seismically unstable regions. Why should people build a wind station on the shore of the Dead Sea, whilst it is the land of eternal summer and 330 sunny days a year.

It is common knowledge that each region should choose the type of energy which is good for the region (considering climate, seismic conditions, etc.)

For example Iceland uses the energy of underground water, and for the Kazakh steppes it would be better to build wind or solar stations.

One major advantage with the use of renewable energy is that as it is renewable it is therefore sustainable and so will never run out.

Renewable energy facilities generally require less maintenance than traditional generators. Their fuel being derived from natural and available resources reduces the costs of operation.

Even more importantly, renewable energy produces little or no waste products such as carbon dioxide or other chemical pollutants, so has minimal impact on the environment.

Renewable energy projects can also bring economic benefits to many regional areas, as most projects are located away from large urban centers and suburbs of the capital cities. These economic benefits may be from the increased use of local services as well as tourism.

We must reduce global greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% by 2050 in order to avoid dangerous risks to the environment and ourselves. Meanwhile, electricity demand is rising worldwide: even if the world converges at half the OECD's current electricity intensity, total demand will still be 2.7 times higher by 2050. To meet this demand while reducing total emissions by 80%, we must replace current coal and natural-gas plants with something more than 90% cleaner. This can only be renewables.

The fact is animal testing does more for us in the field of medication than most people realize. Some of them are blinded by lies, stupidity, myths, and believe that animal testing is rooms of monkeys and puppies waiting to be worked on by doctor Frankenstein, or cages of innocent mice being slaughtered daily for useless tests. The facts are the tests are relevant, perfectly moral and necessary, and it has,is and will save lives. As you already mentioned, we are the dominate species because of our brains, let's use them.

Thank you

No one wants to use animals unnecessarily or to cause them unnecessary suffering. The guiding principles in animal research today are called the three Rs:

Refinement, to make sure animals suffer as little as possible

Reduction, to minimize the number of animals used

* Replacement, to replace animal procedures with non- animal techniques wherever possible.

You said that "because of biological differences between humans and animals, results from animal studies cannot reliably apply to humans". Well... All mammals are descended from common ancestors, and one result of this is that humans are biologically very similar to other mammals. All mammals, including humans, have the same organs - heart, lungs, kidneys, liver etc - performing the same functions and controlled by the same mechanisms, via the blood stream and nervous system. Of course there are minor differences, but these are far outweighed by the remarkable similarities.

OK, the Thalidomide tragedy of the 1960s is undeniable fact. To justify myself, I want to say that there are stages in any research program when it is not enough to know how individual molecules, cells or tissues behave. The living body is much more than just a collection of these parts, and we need to understand how they interact, how they are controlled. Because of ethical limits we cannot do such experiments using people, so the only alternative is to use the most suitable animal to study a particular disease or biological function.

Without animal research, medicine as we know it today wouldn't exist. Scientists argue that experiments on animals have been very useful in the past. Animal research has enabled us to find treatments for cancer, antibiotics for infections, vaccines to prevent some of the most deadly and debilitating viruses and surgery for injuries, illnesses and deformities. For instance, because of experiments with insulin on dogs, the lives of ten million human diabetics have been saved . Dogs also benefited, as the same drug can be used on them. In fact, a third of medicines used by vets are the same as those used by doctors.
