Banning guns is indeed impractical and quite nearly impossible. Although it will have a lot advantages but that would only be in an idealistic world, not the world in which we live in. Hence in a world where banning guns cannot practically take place there is always a threat to safety. Hence, for the sake of a civilians safety guns are necessary. However, the issuing of the weapon should be closely monitored. As far as children committing violence is concerned that is a whole different issue. Whether you successfully take guns away from them, the issue will not be solved, the violence inside them will keep on growing and nurturing. That is a psychological problem and should be felt it from its very core.

I have always believed that religion and science should go simultaneously and harmoniously. Let's face it, not everything that scientists say or conclude is 100% right. There is always doubt and as time and intellect evolves new discoveries are put forward and previous concepts are updated and in some cases rejected, so despite exhaustive experimentation we cannot always conclude that science is 100% accurate or we would still have been following the 'flat earth' and 'sun revolves around earth' theories. But at the same time there has been a lot of instances when the church or islamic scholars or peers of any religion have made wrong deductions of the scriptures or things happening around and come up with wrong conclusions e.g when Galileo corrected the 'sun revolves around earth' theory but was imprisoned for it. Although religion can be perfect ( I am trying to accommodate all religious and non-religious people) but it depends on our interpretations which can very well be erroneous, because over the years even religious dictations have been changed according to the holy scriptures as people realised that their deductions of them were wrong. I know this uncertainty makes people uncomfortable but it is true. Hence I conclude that religion and science should not conflict but work together for betterment. The site does not allow me to vote for this conclusion specifically.

This debate is worded erroneously. I do not believe that religion is the basic reason for any form of destruction or creation. We have witnessed many remarkable events inspired by religion and we have seen much destruction done in the name of religion. However, it depends mostly on man's understanding. No religion teaches destruction and deterioration it is just taken as an excuse for people to project their own violence and 'dark side' wrongly justifying it under the name of religion.

Although many people now do not believe in religion however a study of religions will clearly show that none of them inspire to destroy, rather it encourages to create.

I believe that it is the intellectual person who argues in order to get the point conveyed to the people and make them understand. Arguments done in a civil manner are a gateway to a better society as thoughts are provoked, a person can deliver his options and defend them, people with unpopular opinions can be convinced otherwise. All in all I firmly disagree. With the help of intellect a person developed the sense to speculate, argue and draw up conclusions.
